Why don't you just get rid of all the surface stuff and just leave yourself with the drawbridge and some thick doors. Then orbital bombardment and dragons can't do much.

When it says they change order as you move I'm fairly sure they ment actual movement. Otherwise the images would shift every time you used an action, thus making finding the real caster irrelevant the next round.

Players look rules up, which usually accounts for less than 5% of the time, because most of us know too much of the rules by heart. As for DMs, the best one I play with spends maybe 5-10% of the time looking up stuff specific to the adventure, because for the most part he has it memorized.

I can see from all of these responses that having arrows stick is a bad idea. I may however play around with some sort of barbed arrows which stick on a crit for extra damage. Maybe barbed should be a magical enhancement...
