I first realized that squirrels were dangerous a few weeks ago, when I saw a squirrel eating the carcass of a dead bird. While I was walking by it picked the bird by the hole in its chest cavity, and then the squirrel started shaking its head back and forth like a rabid dog.

I liked it too. Cronenberg doesn't pull any punches with the violence or sex, and I thought that was very refreshing. It did seem to be lacking something though, even if I can't put my finger on exactly what. I walked out of the theater entertained, but still vaguely unsatisfied.

I've seen Hard Boiled, and while I enjoyed it I thought it became somewhat repetitive, especially in the hospital scene. After a certain amount of time all i saw anymore was an endless supply of mook bodies hitting the floor in rapid succession. Face/Off didn't get boring like that for me.
