Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

I also saw it as very negative. An excellent movie overall, but I dont' think I'd see it again. What happened to the spoiler tags?

    Just Saw "Saw"

Ok, I'll do my best to explain the twist. However, if you think you may EVER see this movie, DO NOT read what I'm about to post; it will ruin the movie for you. /out of breath Thats just a summary, and is nowhere as entertaining as the real thing.

    Just Saw "Saw"

I saw it last night, and I loved it. I think you have to be in a specific mindset when you see it to enjoy though, because it is sick and twisted, as well as gory and very brtual at times. I thought it delivered what it set out to very well, and judging by the reaction of the crowd in the...

    Episode 3 Teaser Trailer!

I don't think it's been posted yet, so here it is: http://www.worldofepic.net/ep3.mov

Did you have trick or treaters? (sort of a rant)

I didn't get any trick-or-treaters in my dorm (the buildings are locked...), but I assume that my parents got some at our house. Although it seems like we've been getting less and less in the last few years. :(

    The Fog sequel

Maybe it won't be as boring as the original. :\

Fun (pc)games for a LAN party?

UT 2k4 and Halo are my first choices

So, What are you're Halloween plans??

Driving down to UC Santa Barbara with some friends to go to the parties that will be held there all weekend. Should be fun!

Are you creeped out by something benign..something like clowns? Teletubbies?

I have a fear of heights, but I'm only really scared when there aren't railings (or whatever). I have no problem with things like flying, but I'm uneasy crossing a bridge (on foot) with no railings that may only be about 20 feet above the water. Also, there was one time when I rappelled into...

    Rate The Grudge

I really liked the movie. The story didn't make a whole lot of sense, but it was pretty scary. :uhoh:

    Top Ten Geekiest Hobbies

D&D (obviously), Star Wars (own the movies, read most of the books, never dressed up or anything though), used to play CCGs (only magic, and that was years ago so we won't count it...), and does it still count if i'm addicted to an MMORPG other than Everquest? :p

    The Grudge

It's directed by Sam Raimi, correct? If it turns out anything like the first two Evil Dead movies, I will definitely have to see it. :D

Player searching for Davis/Sacremento CA area D&D game(s)

I'm a new student at UCD (freshman) and looking for nearby games to possibly play in. I've been playing D&D for a little over 2 years, own my own core books, and will be able to provide my own transportation (car) soon. Oh, and after reading the Creepy Gamers thread I have to say that and I'm...

    [October] What Are You Reading?

I'm currently reading The Dark Towever 7 by Stephen King and A Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin.

    Napoleon Dynamite

My final impression of this movie wasn't very favorable, although it definitely had plenty of funny moments. Something about the directing and cinematography jsut really turned me off. Most of the time there was no attempt at smooth scene transitions, and the camera tended to just sit in...

    The Forgotten

I absolutely hated it. I walked out wishing I had just thrown my $10 at a bum or something instead of wasting it watching this movie.

    Rate Shaun of the Dead

9 I really enjoyed it. I was impressed by how it managed to stay funny throughout the whole movie, while actually actually advancing a serious storyline. Even missing most of the in jokes (due to being American), I still thought it was a great movie.

    Resident Evil: Apocalypse

I thought that it what it aimed to do well. The movie was fun, nothing more, nothing less. And with this summer being so awful as far as movies are concerned, RE comes out near the top of my list.

Rate Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow

I gave it a 4. I thought the movie was pretty bad overall. Visually it was very interesting, but the story was awful and nonsensical. Also, the dialogue had me wincing in many parts. I didn't pay $9.25 to listen to awfully scripted lovers' quarrling for 2 hours.

    Fremont Game Day?

There was a thread about a possible Fremont Game Day a while back, and if I remember correctly it was scheduled for sometime at the end of September. Does anyone know what happened to it, who was (is?) organizing it, or if it will even happen?
