    Ilithid can-o-whoop-azz?

    Epic Level Handbook The example creature in the ELH that had the Paragon template added to it was a mind flayer. If it's not enough, the CR 23 could probably be given a few levels of something that would help out your cause. :)

    Tenser's Transformation and Attacks of Opportunity

    I'd probably say that drinking the potion is the somatic component of the spell, so only provokes a single attack of opportunity. You can choose to cast defensively, and if successful, your spell goes off fine. If you fail, you still lose the spell (because you didn't drink the potion at quite...

    D&D 3.x [3.0 -> 3.5] Acid Fog to Zone of Truth

    Edited as per the above few posts.

    D&D 3.x [3.5] New to the druiding world

    Forget Bards... Bards may be the jack-of-all-trades, but Druids are the jack-of-all-damage-dealers.

    D&D 3.x [3.0 -> 3.5] Acid Fog to Zone of Truth

    See?! I knew it. ;) Lessee, what are my excuses this time? Unholy blight was a copy/paste error. Wall of thorns in the book says the same as the SRD: "For every 5 points by which the check exceeds 20, a creature moves 5 feet (up to a maximum distance equal to its normal land speed)."...

    D&D 3.x Need suggestions for speeding up grenade (splash) weapons. [3.0/3.5]

    How many is "a lot"? :) If it's dozens, I'd break them up into groups of 5. Each group coordinates to simultaneously attack 1 PC. Assume that 4 hit the intersections around the PC, and roll for the 5th. That way splash damage is guaranteed, and you also roll enough dice to scare the PCs...

    Summoning Questions, et. al.

    To elaborate further on the Augment Summoning and Wand question, Augment Summoning is a [General] feat, not a [Metamagic] one. Since there aren't rules stating you can apply a feat to the creation of a wand, it can't be done outside of house rules. If I were to house rule the use of [General]...

    D&D 3.x [3.5] Wounding blade broken?

    On average, two hits from the weapon effectively deals extra damage equal to the target's HD. Against your typical opponent with typical hit points, that'll be 22% of its starting hit points. While that percentage seems big, consider that for a typical 10d8 HD critter with 45 hit points, 22%...

    Chicken Little and the Half-Orc base jumper

    For the sake of argument, at 2,000 ft. up, you'll hit in the 8th round. You fall 150 ft. the first round, and 300 ft. each round after that.

    Charm do they notice ?

    For reference, 3.5 PH pg 177:

    'Widen' a 'Lightning Bolt' doesn't actually do anything?

    I agree with this. That said however, I think that widening a line in this fashion is very weak compared to widening a fireball, not to mention that the feat is Widen, not Lengthen. :) I may house rule that a Widened line generates two lines that run parallel to each other, as follows:

    D&D 3.x Spot Rules in 3.5 DMG

    Deliberate I'm guessing the later as well, since the new DMG pg 22 says: "Although its good to give the characters some chance to detect a coming encounter, ultimately it's you who decides when the first round begins and where each side is when it does."

    D&D 3.x Problems with 3.5 Power Attack?

    Hijacking a bit here... I find that really high ACs are pretty easy to acquire. As a DM, that annoys me quite often, but I find that I still don't have any problems hurting the party when I really want to. :)

    D&D 3.x [3.0 -> 3.5] Acid Fog to Zone of Truth

    Absolutely I'm okay with it. If you'd like something a little more readable, I let Word make a webpage out of the document. Gotta make that domain registration useful somehow. :)

    D&D 3.x [3.0 -> 3.5] Acid Fog to Zone of Truth

    Done! Minus any corrections that Plane Sailing finds, of course. ;) Don't suppose a mod would be interested in making this sticky?

    D&D 3.x [3.0 -> 3.5] Acid Fog to Zone of Truth

    Guess I should be reading the conversion document, eh? <g> Although at this point, it looks like I'm past all the name changes, except for the actual entry for vanish.

    D&D 3.x 3.5 weapon material question

    Then my recommendation is to spend 20 gp on a standard rapier, and put the other 130 gp towards useful scrolls, potions, oils, and alchemical substances. But, I'm a big fan of carrying around "save my butt" items. <g> I'll give up a little power on my "used all the time items" like weapons to...

    D&D 3.x 3.5 weapon material question

    Do you know anything about the campaign? If not, I'd go with plain old steel, masterwork if you can afford it, before trying to acquire cold iron or alchemical silver.
