I'm not a fan of the mechanic as a whole. I'm also not a fan of spending dice to do things (like the Battlemaster). I'm ok with Hit Dice though, so none of it makes sense to me!

This may sound combative, but I don't mean it to be and I apologize in advance. If someone isn't interested in my product, I honestly wouldn't be worried about them and I would be spending my time with those who are.

I'm in the camp of "I'm not upset by the change itself, but I'm super-curious as to why they chose the Astral instead of the Ethereal." I may never know the actual answer, but I'm not upset by it.

There's definitely work that will need to be done, and it won't make everyone happy, but it can be done. Those that really don't like it can still use the old lore with the new mechanics they like. I will probably be doing this with the new Spelljammer, unless what I read makes me super happy...
