Thanks folks. I have been in contact with the local humane society. They are helping me out. The hard part is that I cannot move/load her by myself, and I have to wait with her covered up so my children don't stare.

Not an April Fools post. This morning I just got home to find my dog has died only minutes ago (within 30 or so minutes prior to my arrival at home). I have just had the onerous task of figuring out what to do with her remains and trying to move her so my kids are not just sitting at the window...

A few houserule swaps to the skill list is all you really need... presto. Or do something like create a Feat... Watchman - Characters may only choose this feat at first level. Character comes from a trained militia, military unit, or city watch background. Add Spot, Listen, and Knowledge...

Voted that I am no hater... I have no real interest in 4e, and have voiced such on the boards, and although I was not directly called out as a 'hater', I certainly got that vibe from the responses from the more 4e fanboy-ish crowd.

I think it would be balanced (at least roughly). I had a similar thought myself, except around a nature oriented concept (see my signature for my own Biosoph class (nature archivist). Applying similar thoughts to arcane endeavors seems appropriate enough for me... especially for a Conjurer...

Yes, but there is such volume of materials there, that I simply put that page up on the list. Some items are duplicates of what I have here, but I have not explored all the links listed there. If anyone explores one of those links and finds a good suggestion that needs listing here...

I would be happy to celebrate two days in his honor... Birthday and GM's day. At the very least on GM's day a portion should be devoted to the ultimate DM.
