    Windows Messenger help.

Thanks for the advice. I downloaded it earlier today and haven't experienced any disconnect problems. :)

    World of Warcraft expansion announced.

Yeah, I'm not too thrilled about Blood Elves joining the Horde either (me being the card-carrying elf-hater that I am). According to a Blizzard representitive, the reason that Blood Elves were included was because in MMORPGs, the "pretty" races (usually humans and elves) always have the most...

    World of Warcraft expansion announced.

Here's a summary of what's been announced so far for the Expansion Pack:Level cap raised to 70. 2 new races. The Horde gets Blood Elves, and the new Alliance race is yet unannounced. A new continent: Outland (accessable through the Dark Portal). Lots of new high-level dungeons both in Outland...

    Windows Messenger help.

Except my brother dosen't have the same problem with his for some reason. When he logs into Windows Messenger, it dosen't log him off unless he disconnects from the internet, which is why I believe this might be an issue with my system settings or router.

    Windows Messenger help.

This has been puzzling me lately, and I figured that some of the tech guys here at EN World could maybe clue me in on what's happening. I use Windows Messenger for Windows XP Professional. I have a Wireless internet connection so I'm online pretty much anytime my computer is turned on...

    Named demons

In R.A. Salvatore's Cleric Quintet, there is an imp named Druzil. Yes, I know that Imps are technically devils and not demons, but in the books he is described as a demon. :)

Do recreational drugs feature in your campaign?

I ran a session a long time ago where the PCs met up with an NPC contact in an opium den (similar to the place in the opening cinematic for Diablo II, for those who have played that game). However, the PCs themselves have never partaken of anything stronger than alcohol and pipe tobacco.

    Using Photoshop to "paint" drawings

The dark ink lines will still show as long as you don't cover them up with the colors you are using. It's acually a lot easier than it sounds once you get used to it. Anyways, here is one of the tutorials I managed to find online about CG coloring in Photoshop. Hopefully it will be able to...

    Using Photoshop to "paint" drawings

CG coloring of hand-drawn images in Photoshop is something I've done myself a few times (I also know a couple of people who are really good at it). Basically, you'll want to use the black and white image itself as the "bottom" layer. For every area of the drawing that you color, create a...

Interesting idea for of genre for a MMORPG

Why would a western MMORPG be like a first person shooter? Because it would have guns? So does World of Warcraft, Star Wars Galaxies, and other MMORPGs, but they aren't FPSs in any sense of the term. Most current MMORPGs has found ways to reduce griefing, so I imagine a Western MMORPG could...

    The cinematic triumph of 2006

Actually, I like the title because it describes just what the movie is about. It's similar to that M. Night Shamalan movie starring Bruce Willis and Halley Joe Osment titled The Guy is Dead and Dosen't Know It.

    Fast Food Weakness

There's a lot to be said for genetics and having an active lifestyle. My grandfather is 92 years old. He begins every day with bacon, eggs, buttered toast with jam, and a cup of coffee. He also eats fast food a couple of times per week. But he also exercises and still works in his own...

Okay, you've now got the dirt on my World of Warcraft habits. Good luck with your research! :)

So next year is the 25th anniversary of Indiana Jones...

I agree entirely. What I find amusing is that the "Indy shooting the swordsman" scene is perhaps the single most famous scene in the entire trilogy (with the possible exception of Indy running away from the giant boulder), and it wasn't even scripted; it was a joke played by a couple of...

    Dwarven Crafts

Dwarvencraft items aren't really useful unless you have a DM who loves to sunder the PCs weapons and armor. Still, it's nifty for story reasons, as dwarves are supposed to be the best metalworkers around in many fantasy settings.

    Highlander: The Source

Personally, I didn't think that Highlander needed a sequel; the original movie wrapped up the story quite nicely. And the overall crappiness of the sequels have done nothing to change this opinion.

So next year is the 25th anniversary of Indiana Jones...

Honestly, I'll be surprised if Indiana Jones 4 ever gets made. It's been in pre-production limbo for about the last five years now and has gone through several script revisions. I remember a few years back, it was stated that the movie was going to be out for the 4th of July weekend 2004...
