    Any Good Sea Based Adventures?

For the forgotten realms there is the Sea of Fallen Stars and also there is Pirates of the Dragon Coast. I was looking at the Black Sails over Freeport mega-adventure today and there must be tons of hooks in there you could use outright or mine for ideas you could adapt to your game.

Forgotten Realms and The Great Wheel

The way the poll is worded shows that the Poll author is biased in favor of the Great Wheel. No offense to the Great Wheel, I love Planescape and all, but I use the new Forgotten Realms Cosmology (affectionately nicknamed the Great Tree) in my campaign. The Great Wheel has too much baggage to...

    Acheron substitue

You could use Clangor or Nishrek. Those would be most like the plane of Acheron as they used to be realms on the Great Wheel plane of Acheron layer of Avalas. Hammergrim might also be an option for you, as it used to be a realm on the Acheron layer of Thuldanin. The "Plane of Giant Dice"...

    Which battlemat to get?

I no longer use a battlemat. I have switched to printing out rooms and corridors and environments off my printer as needed in advance of the game. I use a lot of the skeleton key games and 0one games dungeon rooms and a lot of stuff from Dundjinni. It takes up less room on the coffee table and...

    Qhich does quantamn physics better?

On the Realms List archive site there was a guy that posted several ideas theorizing elementary magic particles that he called "thurms". Working magic increased the reality level of these particles and could cause magical effects to materialize (or manifest a very high degree of reality). This...

Eldritch Wizardry and nude women! D&D history help, please.

I jest you not! The 70's were much more relaxed about such things. It was only around the early 80's that American culture started to get very uptight. Maybe it was because the religious right movement became suddenly very prominent in public politics and campaigned a lot about censoring the...

    En Worlders from Austin TX

Don't forget the bat bridge! Quite a site to see 2 million bats come out of the congress avenue bridge at sunset! Of course if you are coming in the late fall they might have migrated down to Mexico for the winter by then. There's fantastic cuisine of every stripe and taste all over town...

Thanks! I love them spreadsheets! The cool thing is that if you need a name for a given monster or race, you can go right to that monster's race on the spreadsheet above and have a good chance of finding something you need. There are examples for a huge spectrum of monsters. you guys...

I had read on the net that Bryan Singer is now actually considering Tom Welling for the role of Superman in the new movie now that he took over from McG.

Eldritch Wizardry and nude women! D&D history help, please.

I was 10 back when I bought it and the gamestore didn't say anything to me when I bought it, my parents never thought twice about it, none of my friends ever talked about it. Back in the 70's people were less uptight about nudity in art and movies and such.

    Balor Origin

In the very first original D&D books (c) 1974, there were no Demons. Balrogs were listed in the monster section of volume 2 "Monsters & Treasure." Demons were not introduced until the 3rd D&D supplement called "Eldritch Wizardry" (c) 1976. There were seven types of demons along with two demon...

    [FDP] GenCon Releases!

I just want to say that I bought Counter Collection Gold already and I love it. The art is great, the monsters are very useful, it has a huge variety of monsters, lots of monsters from the MM that they haven't produced minis for yet, and the dungeon tiles were an added treat that I also find...

Are you stuck to a grid?

I used to have a battlemat, but I gave it up. I now draw and cut out the rooms and corridors and such on one inch graph paper and place them on the coffeetable. That way the players only get to see one room at a time, it takes up less space and I can put down more rooms as needed. I also use...

Player Handout: A Master Feat List?

I believe that on the www.crystalkeep.com website they have separate indexes of all the feats for 3.5 and 3.0. Just look down the page for the older 3.0 indexes, I think the 3.0 feat index is near the bottom of the page at this link: http://www.crystalkeep.com/d20/index.html

Looking for good ways to catogorice DnD Miniatures

I bought these large fishing tackle cases from Walmart. They have four clear plastic boxes in them that you can use to divide up your figures as you see fit. I grouped mine into a box each for Good humans/demihumans, Bad Guy humans/demihumans, Animals, Outsiders, Magical beasties, and...

What's the coolest item in your game collection?

I am really fond of my Planescape stuff. Especially On Hallowed Ground and also the Hellbound the Blood War boxed set. I guess my most prized posession though is my D&D white box set of the original D&D books including the Greyhawk, Blackmoor, Eldritch Wizardry, and Gods, Demigods & Heroes...

Anyone in US have Eberron yet?

I saw 4 here in Austin, TX at Waldenbooks today (Sunday). They seem to have not realized that the street date was next Friday. Dragon's Lair is having a release party at midnight on Thursday so that they can sell it on the street date. It's a pretty book. Looks like they did a good job with it.
