The Oblivion Remaster Is Releasing Today. This Is Not A Drill.

Yeah, that's apparently an intermittent bug - sometimes they'll spawn in right from the start, sometimes they'll only appear once you complete the triggering quest. For me they only showed up after Kvatch. I've done a few, to get the juicy magic item goodness from the Sigil Stones.

The Oblivion Remaster Is Releasing Today. This Is Not A Drill.

Yeah, I'm the same level. I did do Kvatch just to get the Oblivion Gates spawned into the world, and the Mages' Guild recommendations to get access to spellmaking, but aside from that just doing small quests and exploration. Playing an archer / Destruction magic combo, but Destruction levels...

Spoilers Star Wars: Andor season 2

Such a pity that Syril and Cassian missed each other. I was hoping they'd run into each other at the spaceport.

The show plays very quiet for me, even with my monitor's speakers at top volume. I have to watch it wearing headphones, or else turn on the subtitles.

Which is why Thief is the best Rogue.

Where’s The Beastmaster Roleplaying Game? Part 1

Leaving aside the puppeting I do like the idea of the animals being playable as characters. Imagine a Forged in the Dark style game with playbooks for a variety of general animal types that you can customise to a particular critter, plus a playbook for the Beastmaster that has them functioning...

What videogames are you playing in 2025?

It doesn't need to have anything to do with liking the rules or not. Those rules are designed to work within a multiplayer tabletop environment under human arbitration. Not everything's going to be a perfect fit when going from that to a single-player videogame run by a computer.

Where’s The Beastmaster Roleplaying Game? Part 1

It feels like this would be only 1-2 steps away from going full Pokemon.

What videogames are you playing in 2025?

I'd forgotten how generous Oblivion gets with magic items once your level hits double digits (assuming the remaster hasn't tweaked that, which I haven't heard anything about). I was getting real tired of weight management, then I got a Sigil Stone that let me enchant a ring with 75 Feather, then...

The Oblivion Remaster Is Releasing Today. This Is Not A Drill.

Yeah, there's already a mod - A Tale of Two Wastelands, I think? - that does this, and lets you play through both with a single character, so it's very doable. And porting some of New Vegas' refinements back into Fallout 3 would definitely be a good idea.

What videogames are you playing in 2025?

I've only played it on Playstation, but it's one of my favourite titles on there, both on PS4 and PS5. The only downside to playing it on PC might be missing out on the feedback/vibration from the PS5 controller, which was fantastically implemented - feeling how your horse's hoofbeats change...

The Oblivion Remaster Is Releasing Today. This Is Not A Drill.

One number I've heard bandied about is that the Fallout 3 remaster was originally planned to release two years after the Oblivion remaster, but I don't have a reliable source for that.

Spoilers Doctor Who s15 (or 2) [[spoilers!]]

I just happened to have watched a reaction video to Midnight earlier in the week, which reminded me just how unsettling it was (brilliant performance by Tennant), so I was seriously not prepared to be hit with a sequel this week. The different abilities of the entity didn't bother me. In...

Spoilers Star Wars: Andor season 2

Kinderblock to me works for exactly the same reason that Droid does - it's unfamiliar enough, while still conveying a sense of the underlying concept, so you can hear it without requiring further elaboration and then accept it as being part of the texture of this world. As for "visa", I think...

Spoilers Star Wars: Andor season 2

We know from The Bad Batch that the Empire introduced chain codes as the new universal ID, so they could have used that, but a work visa seems distinct from that - and if they introduced a new term they'd have to explain it. At least "kinderblock" is pretty self-explanatory - same root as...

The Oblivion Remaster Is Releasing Today. This Is Not A Drill.

The remaster was done by Virtuos, not Bethesda themselves, so it's unlikely that it impacted development of Elder Scrolls 6. And it's not necessarily one-off revenue, it's also proof-of-concept that can be applied to other older games using the same engine, notably Fallout 3.

    Good Television Mystery Series

I found it a better handling of AI than most stories that feature it, and as mentioned the characters were good.
