    D&D 5E (2024) Non-Human Party - Campaign help!

Maybe Command, but not language-dependent (works on anything that can hear you sing) and can only use the "Approach" command word, proficiency-bonus uses per long rest. Then unlock hypnotic pattern 1/day at 5th level.

    D&D 5E (2024) Non-Human Party - Campaign help!

Actually, it could be worth mining for a lot more than that. Given the party mix, having a Droaam-style "nation of monsters" for them to be part of might be the way to go. See also "That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime" for inspiration about a burgeoning nation of monsters trying to fit in...

EN World What you thought a thread title said.

And now I'm thinking about the toilet facilities that upscale establishments might need to provide to cover a wide variety of races, from gnomes to bugbears or aarakocra.

What videogames are you playing in 2025?

That sounds positive. I'm a bit ambivalent on the series in general - I've bought several of the more recent titles, and every single one I've played for a lot of hours and had fun with, but I haven't actually played any of them to completion since the Ezio games.

I'd go with specialised source materials - wool from sheep whose ancestors were native to the the plane of fire, or cotton from plants enhanced via druidic magic.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3 Is Almost Upon Us! Discuss What You Want

It's a rough start, but it gets so much better. Later season 1 and pretty much all of season 2 is really good. As mentioned, it's comedy, not parody. It does humour very well, but it also does Trek very well, some of the best drama moments of Trek from the past decade have been in that show...

What videogames are you playing in 2025?

The game had this really annoying thing where, every time it opens up a whole new range of areas for you to explore and you're getting ready to finally head out, it immediately bombards you with half a dozen new quests to do in the area you just finished. It's incredibly annoying, and is what...

What videogames are you playing in 2025?

I didn't. It had its frustrations, but there was good gameplay in there too, enough that I finished it.

What videogames are you playing in 2025?

Yeah, gotta do at least two playthroughs of each game to get both the Paragon and Renegade routes, and both voice actors.

What videogames are you playing in 2025?

I got quite a long way into Elden Ring, but never finished it. Sorcery was my build, never could really get into melee type characters. I got on okay with it until eventually I reached a boss that would reliably one-shot me if it landed a hit, and I just couldn't find a solution for getting past...

    D&D 5E (2024) Fireball is a C Tier Spell

It's best as a first strike weapon. Throwing it before the enemy knows you're there means they're neither spread out nor intermingled with friendlies, and it has sufficient range to be deployed by a sneaking party before they get close enough to be easily spotted.

But if the religion you follow has become disconnected from that god, you're likely to just get a busy signal.

    D&D General Ships & spellcasters

I seem to recall the 3.5e Stormwrack book having some very specific rules on ships and spellcasting as part of its narrative combat system, right down to an alphabetical list of major spells and their effects. I never used it in practice though, so I don't know how well it holds up.

D&D General Pope Wars, nothing but Pope Wars

A variant of this would be Terry Pratchett's Small Gods. The religion has become so dominated by doctrine and structure that what people really believe in at this point is not the god, but the Church. Almost nobody has a direct connection to the deity anymore, so their voice and message has been...

D&D General Pope Wars, nothing but Pope Wars

One obvious possiblity, since we're dealing with a group that has easy access to high-level divine magic, is how one deals with passing of rights and responsibilities in a world with resurrection. If the Pope dies and a new Pope is chosen, but then the old Pope's supporters (or the new one's...
