Maybe I am reliving my childhood thinking of Man-E-Faces from MotU, but I was thinking each round one face could be dominant, and give a special attack (say pounce for lion, gore for ox, a shriek for the eagle, and sacred flames for the human.

This one will have to be world specific, but the most important one is Table 9: Is currently feuding with (a list of gods, demon lords, archdevils, and celestial muck-y-mucks). The cleric and the paladin need to know who they get the most brownie points for smiting.
I figure the PC having to pay attention to grandpa's ghost going "watch your back boy" or "what are you doing fighting when I don't have any grandkids yet?" is what uses the reaction. :eek:

You could just give races advantages on checks and saves. So a half-orc isn't any better at hitting someone with a great sword than a gnome is, but the half-orc is slightly better at carrying things and powering out of a grapple. Of course, that would be even better if there were more strength...
There is a source tab on the far right that should have the abbreviations (I have to look at it from time to time myself). You will have to scroll to see it. There is also a color chart tab next to it.
