    Alan Moore still hates Hollywood

Meh. I like Michael Jackson's songs. Doesn't mean I like him as a person.

    Let's pronounce "Genasi"

Rhymes with Jealousy. *dances to the Club Nouveau song*

    Alan Moore still hates Hollywood

He's like Howard Hughes and Christopher Tolkien wrapped in one. IOW, he's not so original. Bleh. "Misunderstood genius." Yeah, right. *Scoffs* Personally, I want to watch it, but to be brutally honest, I don't want a penny of my ticket purchase goes to Alan Moore's pocket.

The Lord of the Rings Trilogy (Platinum Series Special Extended Edition)

No, man made it. Would be nice if God had installed a Rewind Button. :p

Updated status on the revised GSL

I hope we the public are not the Informed. I don't like the one-way communication part, as mentioned in Wikipedia.

Licenses for Dragonlance and Dragon and Dungeon et al...

Meh. What WotC was trying to do is haul back their [TSR-acquired] IP assets before the launch of 4e. So, it was no surprise to me at all. FYI, Hasbro acquired WotC back in December of 1999. Having Hasbro allowed WotC to get the Star Wars RPG and Miniatures license from LFL, who pulled from or...

Movies: Novel Adaptations That Failed To Keep True To The Novel

Loosely based. 1. Marie in the novel was an economist that worked for the Canadian government. 2. The novel is based in a period close to the end of the Viet Nam War where Jason Bourne is created. The movie is more close to our modern period. 3. Marie in the movie was shot in the second film...

Movies: Novel Adaptations That Failed To Keep True To The Novel

The Bourne Trilogy based on Robert Ludlum's novels, or so they say. Still, I like the movie version.

Anything new for D20 modern or D20 BESM

Good, because there are better ways to die than asphyxiation. Sorry, can't see White Wolf doing other than another Storyteller System product, though they could pass it to one of their subsidiaries. Yes, White Wolf is a parent company much like Hasbro.

What? NO END OF THE WORLD TODAY? LHC fired up today

So, who's paying for the electrical or fuel bill?

Updated status on the revised GSL

??? What free computer games? Isn't Infogrames (aka Atari), the current holder of Hasbro's electronics right, including WotC's D&D, responsible for that?

Anything new for D20 modern or D20 BESM

d20 Modern is a good system. The current edition is still available. WotC have yet to formally decide if they're going to make a new edition or successor. Would be stupid of them not to, IMNSHO. d20 BESM is also a good system using point-based feature. Guardians of Order sadly shut down. No...

Updated status on the revised GSL

But I don't wan't Freeport for the "bucket o' dice" system. I want Freeport for the 3.5e d20 System. If Green Ronin wish to opt out of 4e after publishing Freeport for 4e, then they cannot bring that franchise back to 3.5e/d20 or for Pathfinder. Or can they? I want to know about this SOR.

An Opportunity for WotC in 2009

Won't buy it. Don't miss 2e, except for the fluff. If you want it, get the official PDF.

In that case, I hope Green Ronin won't bring Freeport to 4e.

    Forked Thread: Length of movies

A good well-paced story. Like one earlier poster said, it has to take me where I stop keeping track of time.

So if a 3PP opted out, can they bring their product line back to OGL after being published for or converted over to 4e?
