D&D General [Humor] Things You Hate About 7E

I hate that they're charging me $4.99 for the basic greatsword. When I pay $35 for my barbarian ($15.99 basic class, $10.99 berserker archetype, $7.99 "necessary" enchantments) I expect it to come with a greatsword/greataxe/great club. No wonder so many people now play weaponless brawler builds.

    D&D General Let's celebrate D&D having things we don't like! (+)

I don't like that Dungeons and Dragons has become such a digital/graphical/dioramical experience. It's nice to have it as an option--rather than as the default.

I don't like not being able to tell Players they can't do our have things. Entitled little munchkins.

    D&D 5E (2024) You're not planning on getting 2024 D&D? Why is that?

It's a step down on the addiction scale. I'll move on to computer games after that and then nicotine.

    D&D 5E (2024) You're not planning on getting 2024 D&D? Why is that?

I'm done chasing the Dragon. I'm chasing my own dragons now.

D&D 5E (2014) Using Zones instead of Battlemaps

I think the original 3rd edition had a system for using miniatures without using a grid.

    D&D 5E (2024) You're not planning on getting 2024 D&D? Why is that?

It impacted my group. Although we never planned to stop playing 5th edition (because we like 5th edition), three of us insisted on playing other games, which we have been doing for the past year and a half. We only just recently played our first 5th edition session. When was that survey the...

D&D General How Often Should a PC Die in D&D 5e?

Life, is like a sandbox Dungeons and Dragons game. The characters apply significance to the events that happen within it and build stories out of them. Stories don't exist, storytellers do.

D&D General How Often Should a PC Die in D&D 5e?

Sometimes we think the Wizards of the Coast are trying to kill the game. It's a joke.

D&D General How Often Should a PC Die in D&D 5e?

Yeah, but I think the Wizards of the Coast want to make a popular game rather than a deadly one.

D&D General How Often Should a PC Die in D&D 5e?

And think deadly and popular don't go together. I want more death but I'm not a very popular person.

D&D General How Often Should a PC Die in D&D 5e?

    I played Pathfinder for years. I wouldn't say it's a deadly game.

D&D General How Often Should a PC Die in D&D 5e?

Yeah, the curve is bizarre, a nice bell curve with accompanying spikes (outside the box?). I wonder what we would see in an accompanying poll where the question is: How Often Should a Player Switch to a New Character in a D&D 5e Campaign?

    D&D 5E (2014) Xanthian pun-spells

Vanishment - When you cast this spell one willing creature you are touching is sent to a random location on your current plane of existence. This exact location is unknown to the caster, and once there the subject is supplied with an unassuming job, an assumed name, a modest dwelling, and a new...

    D&D 5E (2014) Xanthian pun-spells

Antimagic Fold - As a reaction, you can redirect a spell cast at you to anyone else the you can see (within the remaining range of the spell) with a successful arcane attack roll. Alternatively, you can redirect it harmlessly into the 4th dimension, effectively negating the spell, or you can...
