D&D 5E (2024) Atlas of Faerun (with some pictures from the internet)

Yeah, I'm being blocked. So there's going to be a physical poster map with one of the upcoming books? I'll see it when I believe it.

I still don't see it. What's going on here? Am I in a washing machine?

D&D 5E (2024) Atlas of Faerun (with some pictures from the internet)

Which post is that? Is it going to be a digital "poster" map or a physical poster map? If I were making the decision at Wizards of the Coast, I would put a two-page spread of this map in the physical book and only make the digital map available on D&D Beyond.😈

D&D 5E (2024) Atlas of Faerun (with some pictures from the internet)

Do you think this will be a poster map included in the physical book purchase or will it only be available in a usable form on D&D Beyond?

    D&D 5E (2024) Representing afflictions in D&D 5e - which do you think work best/least dislike.

I chose all of them. I like a wide variety of effects from afflictions so as to maintain a bit of mystery in the world and reflect the nature of real afflictions. This also helps to make afflictions non-trivial because We as Players will suck the fun out of the game by developing an efficient...

Looks good. I like it. Can't wait to find it at a used bookstore.

D&D General Disparity in PC levels from same party

It won't work versus it does work. Some tell us why it won't work. Some tell us that it does work. I'm confused.

Dungeons & Dragons Teams Up With New Holland For New Beer

Anything aged in a bourbon barrel is horrible. Wine, beer, even bourbon, it's like drinking barbed wire.

D&D General Disparity in PC levels from same party

Things do generally get more complex, but 5th edition was a much needed culling of that complexity. 5th edition is much simpler than 3rd edition. I can't speak to 4th edition.

D&D General Disparity in PC levels from same party

I am very fond of a mixed level party. It is one of the things I like about Adventurers League.

    D&D 5E (2014) Running the shortest game?

The Crimson Oubliette. This is an unique dungeon set in vast pit filled to the brim with caustic ooze. It can be played in two hours easily. I always have it in my back pocket ready to go. Warlock’s Apprentice: The Crimson Oubliette - Kobold Press Warlock’s Apprentice: The Crimson Oubliette

    WotC D&D branded game table

As the Dungeon Master I like to sit on the long side of the table. I'm sure this table is configurable for such a thing.

Worlds of Design: In the Shadow of Tolkien

My influence before Dungeons and Dragons was definitely Conan the Barbarian (Robert Jordan, et al.) I still haven't finished the Lord of the Rings, and it's Treebeard's fault. I don't like Tolkien's outsized influence on Dungeons and Dragons and, through D&D, upon the whole fantasy world.

D&D General Have you ever retired a character?

Malocchio was my warlock character for the Curse of Strahd campaign. The warlock class drives characters toward high charisma, and this did not fit the character who was a mumbling idiot mentally scarred by what he had witnessed. So, I split the characters abilities into three different...

D&D General What if we gave dragonborn four arms?

When did dragons acquire the four legs and two wings depiction? At least for the Dungeons and Dragons boffery. This may have occured rather recently. I usually defer to Saint George when I imagine dragons...but in art the dragon has however many legs the artist thought to give it. Four, two...

D&D General What if we gave dragonborn four arms?

I think most tables do not have discussions like this. They don't analyze the existence of mudmen societies in the world in order to justify their presence in an encounter.* I for one like to allow for mystery and the unknown within the game, so I don't question this stuff. If, as the Dungeon...

D&D General What if we gave dragonborn four arms?

That's a good point. Now it sounds pretty cool to have four arms. The upper two can be wielding two-handed ax but the lower two could be wielding a one-handed sword and a shield. That way you can choose each round what your attack will be and whether you have plus two bonus from your shield or...

D&D General What if we gave dragonborn four arms?

My fellow Player's Character was transformed into a narloth once. But his extra arms just hung by his sides uselessly.
