I guess I am just old school at heart... I like that Paladins are tied to being LG. That seems to mesh well with the intent of the class. As for the complexity, I think there is still a place for a more in depth rules system. I haven't been following the PF2 news that closely, so am not sure...

I wonder if they are accounting for the fact that producing a video game these days requires a much larger investment. So, even though video games may bring in more $ on kickstarter, they are going to cost much more to produce... and the time required to complete a video game is much longer...

I don't have an issue with fighters getting attacks of opportunity at 1st level or with negative numbers... but, I do like the dice chain concept from Dungeon Crawl Classics... that is a fun alternative to penalties.

Thanks... somehow I missed (or forgot) about that. I backed the original Trudvang kickstarter. We haven't had a chance to play it, but the quality is quite good and I really like what I have read of it so far. So, will probably back this as well.

I have seen references to CLW or HLW Wand Spamming. I am guessing they are talking about players abusing Wands of Cure Light Wounds and healing potions...

I found resonance being baked into the core rules to be odd. This has never been an issue with our groups... but then our DMs never showered players in magic items. So, it would be pushing a fix for a problem on us that we never had... and, as I said early on, it feels kludgy.

How many fragile bottles full of liquid could you reasonably stuff in your backpack while trudging through a jungle or delving into a dungeon without having them break. How much gear can your backpack hold? Having a reasonable limit doesn't seem contrived at all.
