    D&D 5E (2014) Pre-Order DLC comes to D&D with D&D Beyond and Xanathar's Guide to Everything pre-order

I hope they make the feats available to all for free or a fee... If it is free, then there may be a delay in it being available. Or, possibly at a cost, but available on release day of the Guide? We have yet to use feats in our group, but I'll probably pre-order just to check them out. I...

Pre-Order DLC comes to D&D with Xanathar's Guide to Everything

Actually, it is free when you pre-order the Guide. You are not paying extra for it.

Pre-Order DLC comes to D&D with Xanathar's Guide to Everything

I guess I keep doing something that is immensely stupid... over and over. But, somehow, I keep getting fantastic products as a result. And, I get to feel good about helping to bring said fantastic product to market. I guess you don't order from dmsguild or drivethrurpg? You only get to see a...

Pre-Order DLC comes to D&D with Xanathar's Guide to Everything

What does "this'll be the only third party publisher with content in the system." mean? Are you saying that Curse will be the only supplier of 3rd party content in D&D Beyond? Has it been published anywhere that they will not offer content from other parties at some point?

Pre-Order DLC comes to D&D with Xanathar's Guide to Everything

I pre-ordered 2 copies of Xanathar's Guide from Amazon... funny thing is going to happen... I am going to get charged twice!!! Why do I have to pay twice for the same content! Shouldn't I get the 2nd copy for free? This is a ripoff!

Pre-Order DLC comes to D&D with Xanathar's Guide to Everything

No one is requiring that you pay twice. You are not required to purchase either the physical book or the electronic version on D&D Beyond. However, if you find that content in another format to be worthwhile, then are you more than welcome to pay for that. Why do you expect Curse to give away...

Can You Be A Good Dog? Play Pugmire And Find Out

Same here. I backed the kickstarter for this. But, we are busy with other campaigns, so haven't had a chance to try it out. Maybe we'll get to it this fall/winter.

Pre-Order DLC comes to D&D with Xanathar's Guide to Everything

I'll pre-order it... because options are (almost) always good. If you are not interested in having the feats as an option, then don't pre-order. It is really as simple as that. No need to complain about it.

Xanathar Previews: Random Encounters & Character Names

I really don't get the complaint. You are free to roll on any table you like. It isn't like they are saying you are restricted to rolling on a table that is appropriate for your players. To me, it is good that they grouped encounters roughly by difficulty level.

Tomb of Annihilation Is Here - What Do You Think?

This is true. I spent many years sailing lakes and harbors as a kid/teenager. You learn to recognize boulders that are below the surface pretty quickly. I would imagine that captains would have lookouts for obstacles any time they were near enough to shore. I have not read this part of the...

Tomb of Annihilation Is Here - What Do You Think?

I haven't thought about this in detail yet, but maybe not all armor types will be available in "Chultian" versions. I don't think anyone in my group is wearing padded... who wears padded anyways?

Tomb of Annihilation Is Here - What Do You Think?

I am in a similar boat. My players are fairly new and one turned 10 recently... If I were playing with experienced players, I probably wouldn't go too easy on them. For this group, when they arrive in Chult, I think I'll let the characters know that their armor isn't suited for this...

Tomb of Annihilation Is Here - What Do You Think?

I am leaning toward penalizing most armor that isn't made with the heat in mind. Luckily, my group will be coming into this adventure between level 3 & 5, so should have some money to spend. They will need to pick up new armor once they arrive in Chult, unless they want to face a penalty...
