Is Evil Hat Republishing TSR's Star Frontiers?

If they update the original system, then I am definitely in. I loved Star Frontiers back in the day. But, if they use a completely new system, and simply re-use the name, then I'll probably pass. I already have too many RPGs. I am not familiar with FATE and have no desire to learn yet...

Here's A Sneak Peek At Tomb Of Annihilation On Fantasy Grounds

One additional factor for me is... gas. The nearest gaming store is in San Antonio. San Antonio managed to avoid most of the havoc wreaked by Harvey, but now finding and getting gas is a nightmare. I do work in San Antonio, even though I don't live in the city. But, on Friday, I worked from...

Here's A Sneak Peek At Tomb Of Annihilation On Fantasy Grounds

Maps look pretty nice to me. Maybe I am just easily impressed. I pre-ordered the hard back through Amazon... though, I may cancel that and hit the "nearest" game store if I am in the area. Nearest game store for me is about 30 miles away. I'll also be picking this up on FG.

D&D 5E (2014) Running Pathfinder Lost Outpost AP in 5e

Awesome. I will check that out. Thanks. I actually have a number of Pathfinder APs that I wouldn't mind running in 5e at some point.

Great. I will keep an eye out.

D&D 5E (2014) Running Pathfinder Lost Outpost AP in 5e

The latest AP from Paizo sounds interesting... Has anyone looked into running this in 5e? I haven't attempted any conversions yet, but am tempted to give it a try here. Just not sure how much work this would entail. Apparently, there is some underwater exploration in this one. Have not dealt...

Is D&D Entering a New Golden Age?

Maybe I have been playing D&D for too long to see a problem with HD. However, I was not a fan of healing surges and am not a fan of spending points to heal in 5e... but that is a different mechanic (which happens to be based on HD). But, I think those mechanics were done to speed up game play...

Is D&D Entering a New Golden Age?

I tried to watch some sessions of D&D. I found it tough to watch other people play. It just wasn't that interesting.

Starfinder Talking With Starfinder Creative Director At Gen Con

Well, my hope was that Paizo would try to appeal to non-Pathfinder people as well...

Starfinder Talking With Starfinder Creative Director At Gen Con

I have been wanting to run a SciFi game. I have been playing D&D off and on since around 1980... so am familiar with the system. I like the D20 system. I am willing to give Starfinder a decent chance. We tried FFG's Star Wars. I was not crazy about the zone system and their dice mechanic is...

Starfinder Talking With Starfinder Creative Director At Gen Con

My group has not played Pathfinder or used Golarion... but I would like to use the published adventures for Starfinder. I am hoping that this Gap concept isn't integral to their APs.

Starfinder Talking With Starfinder Creative Director At Gen Con

I did not know anything about this Gap previously. But, it is sounding a bit corny. I hope it is possible to use their Starfinder AP without acknowledging the Gap. I am now a bit concerned about Starfinder :( If they wanted Golarian to be excluded, why couldn't the Starfinder universe simply...

Is D&D Entering a New Golden Age?

Princess Bride has actually held up pretty well. I doubt they could remake and do a better job. And, who could play Inigo Montoya (or any of the other characters) any better?

No mention of the 45+ crowd getting back into gaming? :D I feel old.

D&D Beyond Launches -- Electronic Tools For D&D Are Here!

To tell you the truth.. I like the skills from 1e better. They are more intuitive for the most part. We have been playing 5e for a while and I still can't remember which skill basic checks should use.

D&D Beyond Launches -- Electronic Tools For D&D Are Here!

Ooh... printable tokens might be nice. Only problem is, I already have a bunch of monster tokens and I never use them. Always too much of a pain to find the ones I need. I guess, if I could print them off right before a session, I might be more likely to use them. We usually resort to coins...

D&D Beyond Launches -- Electronic Tools For D&D Are Here!

I picked up the 3 core books while they are on sale, but haven't subscribed yet. I too am pretty pleased with it so far. I hope they enhance the note taking features soon... 'cause I would definitely make use of that.
