D&D Beyond Launches -- Electronic Tools For D&D Are Here!

There are a number of things that I like about these adventures. First, they are not as grand as the hard cover adventures. There are a number of threads going on in each adventure, and the characters can choose which to deal with and which not to (and in which order). Each thread in the...

D&D Beyond Launches -- Electronic Tools For D&D Are Here!

Funny (sad?) that assigning a primary key value to an entry is causing them problems... Applications have been doing that for many years. Not a new concept.

D&D Beyond Launches -- Electronic Tools For D&D Are Here!

Legacy of the Crystal Shard, Scourge of the Sword Coast, Murder in Baldur's Gate, etc. I am running my group through Legacy of the Crystal Shard.

D&D Beyond Launches -- Electronic Tools For D&D Are Here!

Lost Mine of Phandelver was a fun adventure. I wish they would release more adventures like that. That is a big reason I have started using the Next play test adventures. They are more inline with LMoP.

That's pretty cool. It would be nice if you could create multiple notes with titles. It appears that you only get one public and one private note? As an example, you can paste this into one of your campaign note fields: aboleth

Wait... I thought reddit was polarizing? I guess I don't know enough about Twitch to be polarized by it.

D&D Beyond Launches -- Electronic Tools For D&D Are Here!

I would probably go with the Legendary Bundle if I didn't own all of the WotC content on Fantasy Grounds already. And, I am not sure how this will compare to using FG at the table yet (not to mention how it'll compare to the Unity version of FG... if that is ever released). Not sure if it is...

D&D Beyond Launches -- Electronic Tools For D&D Are Here!

Same here. I am purchasing those 3 books tonight. I wish they had some of the play test adventures available. My group is currently going through Legacy of the Crystal Shard. Oh, and thanks to all who responded to questions I posted earlier. I am definitely going to give this a shot... even...

D&D Beyond Launches -- Electronic Tools For D&D Are Here!

Well, I only signed up a few minutes ago, so haven't been able to explore much... but I am not sure how that could work.

D&D Beyond Launches -- Electronic Tools For D&D Are Here!

One downside to this model over the PDF model is that if this product fails and they take down the site, then users lose all of their content. If we had purchased PDFs, then we would still have those regardless. With that said, I will most likely purchase a subscription and the 3 core books...

D&D Beyond Launches -- Electronic Tools For D&D Are Here!

As much as I hate subscriptions, I may try this out. I like the idea that you can drop back to the free version and not lose your purchased content (at least I am assuming you can drop your subscription but keep your account). I wonder what happens if you start out with a paid account, create...

"Red Box" Developer Frank Mentzer To Produce Empyrea Setting For D&D

When I back a kickstarter project, I understand that the project may fail for any reason. Even if it delivers, it may not live up to the hype. So, take the old gambling advice: don't back for more than you can afford to lose. With that being said. I have received a lot of great products...

"Red Box" Developer Frank Mentzer To Produce Empyrea Setting For D&D

It looks like they had a kickstarter project that was due in 2014, but still have not delivered. It also looks like they have not been communicating with backers... at least not very well. www.kickstarter.com/projects/judgesguild/city-state-of-the-invincible-overlord I didn't back this...

"Red Box" Developer Frank Mentzer To Produce Empyrea Setting For D&D

Well, I'll probably back it regardless. Their level of involvement may influence the level of my "investment" in the project. But, knock on wood, I have been pretty fortunate with the countless projects that I have backed. Even the Marmoreal Tomb, which is WAY behind schedule, still seems to...

"Red Box" Developer Frank Mentzer To Produce Empyrea Setting For D&D

Well, of course. I check this site multiple times per day already. But, any limited pledge levels may sell out quickly!

Yeah. The mention of Judges Guild gives me pause... Hopefully they can clarify what "support" they will be providing.

Is there any way to be notified when the kickstarter goes live? If they know under which kickstarter account this will be created, I could at least follow them. Don't want to miss this... and would like to get in early.

+1 to Star Frontiers. I still have my original boxed set as well.
