How do you like your Monster Manuals?

I'll chime in here to agree. I would expect more of this for 4e, because it is very new-GM friendly. Not everyone -- dare I say most folks? -- has the time for statting monsters. I'll go out on a limb and proffer an unpopular opinion -- scads and scads of books of new monsters is a bad idea...

CAMELS: Are they comic relief in your campaigns? and a download

Some of my players have walked a mile for a camel.

    I would play a bard if. . .

I'd play it. The only time I've played on in 3e was an epic game, and I didn't make all that good a build, but in a social-heavy game, it would rule.

    re-rolling 1's

Point buy. Half hit die hit points a level. In fact, rolled hit points is one of the dumbest artifacts of the system. Fixed hit points, folks. The idea of 2d6+6 for stats floated earlier is one I've had for awhile, were I to espouse rolling again. It gives the range point buy does through...

Diplomacy: I don't think it is broken. Here's why.

Technically, "you" is the plural/formal, and "thee" is the singular/informal, and English no longer bothers with these distinctions. A bit annoying, but EVERY language "needs extra words added to define the meaning of other words for clarity." Personally, I see no problem with you plural...

    Not Reading Ryan Dancy

So, what you're saying is a game that lets GMs create their own MORPGs for their personal groups, sort of an RAD for tabletop RPGs. Say, the GM makes a scenario for Greyhawk Online, which has a bunch of locations and NPCs and items predeveloped. He makes a few extra NPCs and tweaks some others...

    Complete Scoundrel

Let's cut down on the expanded content a bit. Nuking the bit on combat for a prestige class -- waste. Prestige classes are taken by players who know this stuff already. The example character -- also can go. Stat blocks are a pain to proof, so this will cut down the development time for the book...

Core Religion Survivor - Round Fourteen

It looks like Rasputin's hated Heironeous is finally going about ten rounds too late. Wee Jas should go next -- the lame name is the clincher between Wee Jas and Hextor. I keep wanting to type "Wee Jass," which should tell you the problem.

Core Religion Survivor - Round Eleven

What is this love for uber-bore Heironeous? Yes, I'm campaigning.

Should potions of longevity be put back in the game?

Yes. There is an epic feat to extend lifespan, after all.

Eric Noah, post in this thread. Everyone else stay out.

The real Eric Noah would lose an Eric Noah Impersonation Contest.

Core Religion Survivor - Round Ten

But, since he's Lawful Neutral, you can play a paladin of Wee Jas. Trippy idea. Now, were it his brother Hugh, I'd vote against him.

Core Religion Survivor - Round Ten

    Die Heironeous die!

Core Religion Survivor - Round Nine

    Bye-ronius!

Core Religion Survivor - Round Eight (The Final Nine!)

What, no hate for *boring* goody two-shoes Heironeous, after all the hate on interesting goody two-shoes St. Cuthbert?

    Fiendish Codex III: Yugoloths poll

No. Two books for fiendish outsiders is already one book too many.

Core Religion Survivor - Round 3

Pelor. Generic ultimate good deities don't pass the laugh test. I don't get the hate for St. Cuthbert either.
  18. Lord Rasputin

    Core Religion Survivor, Round Two

Pelor. The annoying god of ultimate good. No even close historical basis -- even good gods have their faults. And of healing, too. When every cleric heals, that ceases to be special.

    Alignment System

Ditch the current alignment system. Make Law/Chaos and Outgoing/Quiet personality tags and some minor mechanical benefits. Replace Good/Evil with Good Points/Evil Points, rehashed Force Points/Dark Side Points.
