How Many Conventions Did You Attend in the Last 12 Months?

A big zero! There is the Draconis RPG convention in Montreal this October. Last time I went was in 2014. Played Dungeon World. I really want to go this year. I would try Daggerheart if I can get a seat. I might go to CanGames in Ottawa gaming convention in May. Last time I went was the late...

[Netflix] A Good Girl's Guide to Murder, Season 1 (SPOILERS)

Finished the six-episode season one last night. Emma Myers is excellent as the main protagonist Pip Fitz-Ambori amateur investigator and pain in the butt for those who have something to hide. I found the pacing very good and the full reveal chilling. 6 episodes was the perfect length. The show...

    Daggerheart General Thread [+]

After seeing the conversion of Fern into a Daggerheart version and Robby’s character, who here thinks that all future CR episodes taking place in Exandria would use DH? Would a DH Exandria setting book make sense? Would you like that kind of support/shift toward DH.

    What's Your Price Limit?

Exactly. You could also multiply it by the number of participants. $7 x 5 is $35 per hour.

Episaga Games Ltd. the 2M gaming system Titania World of Magic and You!

I see in another thread that game has a website that sells a preorder of your game. Refusal to identify yourself is a Red Flag, for me.

    What's Your Price Limit?

I just spent $200 Canadian on the three Shadow of the Weird Wizard books. So about $65 Canadian per book. As I've said before. After I buy a game it must be played. Every hour of play it is worth $25 in entertainment value to me. After 8-hours of play, I've reimbursed myself in entertainment...

Episaga Games Ltd. the 2M gaming system Titania World of Magic and You!

One last thing, since you want to sell us a game via Kickstarter, you should identify yourself. _____________________ My name is Marc Caron and I've had two marginally successful wargaming terrain kickstarters under MCStudio. I may to may not sell an original RPG in the future. In the meantime...

Episaga Games Ltd. the 2M gaming system Titania World of Magic and You!

So: Six abilities + Luck. Magic uses points. Grid base movement uses points. Everything is governed by skills. Multi-classing Professions. Critical roll tables. What does 2M refer to?

[General Discussion Q&A] Shadow of the Weird Wizard [+]

A journal of my first SotWW solo sessions. You can learn more about the system in a, hopefully, entertaining way: https://www.enworld.org/threads/shadow-of-the-weird-wizard-rangers-of-the-wilderlands.715194/#post-9750473

To play, or not to play.....that is the question.

Welcome. Lofty goal. How does your system stand out? It is a d20 system, a dice pool system, a d100 system, a 2d6 or 3d6 system, a diceless system, a card base system?

[Green Ronin] SAGE, Simple AGE system, Engine Magazine #3

In the SAGE setting Guardians of the Keys, there are centred around The Keys, Green Lantern-like small metal objects the PCs wear, to do good. They are space-alien technology no one understands. The Keys have multiple Powers. They unlock as the character gains levels.

Wizards of the Coast Head Explains Benefits to D&D Franchise Model

Satisfying the shareholders and making good RPG books is not mutually exclusive. TSR was privately owned and produce a ton of bad half-baked splat books. It's called capitalism. If they can milk the cow, why would they not - rhetorical question. Illegal businesses are already selling D&D...

    D&D 5E (2024) Rate D&D 2024

I sold my 5e books in 2020 and did not play the game since then. I bought 5e 2024 (alternate covers) and played a level 1 to 5 solo campaign with 4 characters. It was fun, felt familiar but with a few changes (like backgrounds) which I liked. I will continue their story later. I give it an 8...

GURPS Fantasy / Dungeon Fantasy (and beyond)

Three things: 1) They are not squares. They are offset rectangles so they have equal distances in all six directions. 2) If facing is important, hexes are better with their six sides when using chits. 3) Arcs of fire and cones effects are symmetrical in all directions with hexes.

For group play, the encounters are scripted by player actions along the campaign concept we agreed upon. There are no random encounters.
