    MonkeyGod Presents Adventures: Good?

I am in no way associated with Monkey God, though their name makes me smile every time I see it. I started using it as a screen name when I started blogging about game design and books back in... 2002? Whenever that was. I was reading "Journey to the West" at the time, and learned enough about...

    Finally got the new Ravenloft.

Lemme guess. It's in Karrnath. :) The WotC policy provided to freelancers says every encounter gets a tactical spread if at all possible. It's a little weird for the minor encounters, honestly.

    MonkeyGod Presents Adventures: Good?

At that price, even if all but one of them suck, you're doing pretty well. Any idea how long these adventures are? Or who wrote most of them?

    Demonic Lore II

He did all that, as he is far more than demon expert than I. I seem to be in the minority in that I think devils make better villains than demons do. So bring on Fiendish Codex II!

    What's With Them?

Since it's founding, I'd say. It's always been a shoestring operation, though they work their hearts out.

    Demonic Lore II

You did, actually, further up this same thread. :) Thought I'd add that I find that extremely helpful as I'm writing some of the Savage Tide. The odd part is recognizing some of the names I put into Planes of Chaos and have since forgotten. In the interest of adding something to the body of...

Ronin Arts expanding distribution options . . .

Congrats on working with Paizo! I'm happy to hear you have some new channels opening up for distribution: I'd hate for PDF publishing to consolidate as drastically as print distributors have.

Open Design 2: Castle Shadowcrag is launched!

He did, and I'm quite grateful! The whole thing is teetering on the edge of a Halloween launch, which just strikes me as totally awesome for a shadow-infested castle. There's also a ferocious monster-mashing poll going on for patrons behind the scenes, and a general frenzy of launch activity.

    From Homebrew to Design Material

Magazines and Practice The best route to sharpening your skills and getting noticed is putting submissions in the inbox at Paizo, and FR and Eberron material might be a way to start (not many people write the WotC settings all that well). Once you have your first publication credit, you can...

Obvious player things that modules often don't get

To be fair, high-level adventures just CAN'T account for everything the party might do: there's just so many more options available to high-level parties. Which doesn't excuse ignoring things like invisibility and fly that can be pretty much assumed by the time the party reaches mid-levels....

    Your favourite monsters in MMIV

Deathdrinker, kastighur demon, clockwork steeds, corruptor of fate yugoloth, inferno spiders. That's about it. Oh, and a whisper demon. I guess I like the demons. Deathdrinker is especially well designed for such a high-CR beast, but I suspect I'll never use the reworked orcs, orges, and so forth.

    Undermountain not a rumor anymore

Well, it certainly does up the map count considerably, since each room would get a tactical map in Delve format. And that might mean they can avoid poster maps entirely.

    Undermountain not a rumor anymore

No idea on level range, but I'm willing to put money down to bet it uses the Delve format. I mean, if they don't use the format with a crawl (which the format really works for!), then there's something wrong.

Is there a complete book for Rogues?

I disagree. The Book of Roguish Luck is all about rogues: luck, guild rules, gambling, bribery, and classes like Bandit, Gutter Mage, and Shadowsworn are pretty much all rogue, all the time. Plus expanded sneak attack rules. I dunno, it's heavily weighted toward rogues. But I'm the writer...

    Dragon #349

They're a great tool for scaling adventures, I'll say that. But sometimes I'd like to see the party kill the real thing.

    Open Design --- Round 2

The first project is over and done, and no longer available. The idea behind the series is that patrons commission the work, and the project is just distributed privately to that group. It's never for sale to the general public. I'd love to have you as a patron for the second project, and you...

In this particular case, the ad copy is not wrong. It tops out at 12th level.

Amazon: Last War (Eberron) and Complete Champion

Alas, they were written in complete isolation from each other (this is the first I've heard of the DotU project). So, alas, no crossovers.

    Open Design --- Round 2

Sounds pretty good. I'll talk to Phil and see what's what, but on first inspection, seems like a good way to produce a private print run.
