Seems like the easy solution is just to avoid DM's Guild for Kickstarters. It's meant to be a closed shop, so why not distribute the Kickstarter's rewards via DriveThru, Tabletop Library, or the publisher's own webstore?

Kobold Press does at least 1 of these open contests a year; this one lines up nicely after the Southlands release, though I think a deep knowledge of the setting is not required. A few placenames and a monster from the Southlands Bestiary wouldn't hurt with the audience, of course.

Fortunately, I can confirm that these maps all will come gridless and preset for FG grids from the software. They'll also have a grid version or layer for those who want to, for instance, use them with a projector.

Player Maps and DM Maps Absolutely! The 16 maps for this project (so far, maybe more before it's over) will have a keyed, DM-friendly version and an unlabelled version for players. (Possibly gridless for Roll20 users.) Courts needs all those labels removed. At the time, VTTs were less of a thing.

Yep. And speaking of that, I should figure out whether the Courts poster map can be improved in some way to add it to the package. I think the resolution is too low for VTTs, but I'd love to be wrong.
