Highly unlikely, considering there are plenty of examples of prior art that do that sort of thing. For examples, take a look at Privateer Press' Monsternomicon books. If there's a problem with it, WotC would be in as much trouble as you.

Section 1 (g) of the OGL: "Use", "Used" or "Using" means to use, Distribute, copy, edit, format, modify, translate and otherwise create Derivative Material of Open Game Content. Seems pretty clear that it includes copy/paste. IANAL.

What's lovely is that the feats that allow you to apply templates are themselves open content (since the book explicitly states that all feats in it are open), but you can't use the templates they refer to. You have to create your own. So you might as well change the text of the feats to use...

Considering that a movie seems to be in the works, Ender's Game is one option. Time it right so that they come out close to each other, and it should sell well. Plus, Mongoose already has experience with bugs, thanks to Starship Troopers. But Sci-Fi isn't exactly a Holy Grail of RPG's...
