How do you store your Dungeon Tiles?

I didn't look to see if I answered previously in a thread that Mark listed, so just in case ... I've bought 2-3 of each set so far (except Ruins of the Wild - I already have plenty of outdoory battlemaps). I keep them separated by type and size. By type, I have: * Dungeon Tiles (the grey/green...

You know 4th edition has succeeded when...

I'm glad the 4e folks are experiencing all these cool things with the system - better immersion, no spreadsheets, instant prep time, better realization of character concepts, wives and girlfriends interested in gaming ... ... We had that kind of revolution years ago at our table when we...

Goodman Games Releasing 4e Adventures Prior to October 1st

How do you like your game?

I'm of two minds. On one hand, I like a rules system with both enough structure and flexibility to allow players to try just about anything that they could normally in real life, as well as stuff seen in TV and movies, and have a reasonable way to handle it within the existing rules. However, I...

    Amazon Delays on 4e

I cancelled my order. But then, I was only going to get it for the inner completionist in me anyways, so I don't view not getting them as any great loss. That last part won't help you, but this might: for only a few $$ more, you can get the books individually from Amazon and they should ship...

Huge Gold Dragon #061 - D&D Miniatures Minis DDM

Yeah - it was a much cooler mini back in the day when it was the BIGGEST mini (along with the Huge Red), and you could get it for $10-$20. Now there are Gargantuans and Colossals and the Aspect of Tiamat and Bahamut, its not quite as exciting ... especially for $75.

Huge Gold Dragon #061 - D&D Miniatures Minis DDM

Are you talking about the Huge Gold from Giants of Legend? Wow, takes me back. Lets see (grabs figure from shelf)... If you've seen the Aspect of Bahamut mini released more recently, its about the same size. Its on a 3" base, is 5" tall foot to wing tip and 3" tall from foot to top of head...

Which DDI Component Do You Think is Next?

This current regime at Wizards doesn't seem to shy away from bad PR, though.

RPG set in US Revolutionry War

There was a pretty cool sounding Savage Worlds setting I heard about being developed, mmm, maybe a year ago or more. I believe it was called Spirits of 86 - the basic premise (if I recall correctly) was seeing what happens when western expansionism runs into strange cthuloid spirits. It seems...

Pathfinder 1E [Paizo] Free RPG Day's Revenge of the Kobold King

It helps indeed. I think that its time I get a better scanner. Maybe thats what I should use my tax rebate money for. :) FWIW, I often do the overlay trick as well, when I'm making various and sundry battlemaps. Great way to avoid the dreaded whitespace lines. I've actually taken to matboard...

Pathfinder 1E [Paizo] Free RPG Day's Revenge of the Kobold King

I'm still wondering how you get them so nice. All my attempts (and I'm not a graphics neophyte, although I'm not a professional nor even an expert) have come out with high pixellation. Care to share your method?

Pathfinder 1E [Paizo] Free RPG Day's Revenge of the Kobold King

Very nice. How do you get those blown up so nicely without them pixeling horribly?

Goodman Games Releasing 4e Adventures Prior to October 1st

I'm not so sure that is the answer. According to Scott, that post specifically says that GG can release "promotional (not for sale) products prior to Aug 1". The three modules in question are definitely not promotional. If indeed some folks are going copyright, I'm glad to see to it. I don't...

    How will you DDI

I think a better question would be, does anyone actually think that the DDI will deliver all the WotC says it will? This is the same company that barely lacks the technical competence to keep forums running. Needless to say, unless something dramatically amazing happens (and I ain't holding my...

In contrast to the GSL, Ryan Dancey on OGL/D20 in WotC archives

Not to be too snarky, but I have a hard time connecting the dots between between those articles and "Upon termination, Licensee will immediately cease all use of the Licensed Materials and will destroy all inventory and marketing materials in Licensee’s possession bearing the Compatibility...

Honestly, if WoTC didn't create it would 4e be D&D?

I agree with this. But then, I skipped 2e because it wasn't "D&D" to me. :) I also agree with many remarks about both brand loyalty and support levels. I think a number of folks switched simply because of brand loyalty, and a lot switched because of what the brand means in terms of support and...

    What is GURPS?

I guess I'm on the few in the middle ground - I like (or don't like) Hero and GURPs about equally. I don't think they're bad systems, I just don't particularly care for either. However, if push came to shove and I had to play one or the other, I'd probably opt for Hero. Interestingly, I'm a...

My heroes: Ryan Dancey and Peter Adkison

Unless they choose to revoke your license, which they could easily do (and for no other reason). In which case by the terms of the license you'd have to destroy all your stock and marketing materials bearing the logo. Even if you just printed it all up. I sure as hell wouldn't publish anything...
