    ISBN should be ISSN

That's what I thought. You might want to get an ISSN before the next issue comes out. If a retailer or distributer wants to carry the magazine they will acquire it and track it through the ISSN (which is the same number for every issue of the periodical). Tracking through ISBN doesn't really...

    ISBN should be ISSN

From the News Page: "E. N. Publishing will also be responsible for the E.N. World Player's Journal, in partnership with Goodman Games, which should be appearing in retail stores about now. If you can't find it in your local game store, ask them to get it for you (ISBN 0-9726241-1-2)! " Um...

[MINI] Distribution of Rares/Uncommons in D&D Miniature game

Which in turn was influence by the "collectable" craze in comic books and hockey cards (baseball, down there I suppose) in the early 90s. These things are really just feedback loops, no sense pointing fingers at this stage. Czaers

[MINI] Distribution of Rares/Uncommons in D&D Miniature game

Are they called "chase" figures because everyone chases after them? Or because you are similar to Chevy Chase if you get really geared up over them? j/k Thanks for the info. Cjoers!

    Yugoloths or Daemons

I voted Daemon, but only because 1) Yugoloth reminds me of a Czech automobile, and, 2) I hated the excision of the Demons and Devils from the game and "Yugoloth" is an artefact of that movement. That being said, I've never liked having to deliberately mispronounce Daemon to avoid confusion. I...

[OT-NHL] The Annual NHL Playoffs Thread: 2003

I have to go with the hometown Sens as well. I just hope they don't meet the Leafs in the playoffs. Four years in a row would be just too much. The keys to Ottawa's success: 1) Hossa, Alfredsson and Chara staying healthy. 2) Bonk playing up to his potential. 3) Lalime playing his best game...

    Ambient's Everyone Else Opinions?

We also threw in level 7 as well, in case your campaign had a different standard of "mastery". We figured that any NPC higher than 7th level would have a unique or campaign specific backstory and the generic treatment wouldn't be very useful, so we quit while we were ahead. Anyhoo, I will...

    [AMBIENT] PDFs with ISBNs

BTW As a librarian, I can attest to the value of an ISBN. Small retailers (which are very similar to libraries, actually, except that they try to make money and we try to stay underbudget) rely heavily on ISBNs when tracking down special orders or marrying advertising information to an actual...

Armour feats - do they make sense?

I've always figured that any armor (in D&D or d20 Modern) doesn't just stop incoming weapons or ammo cold without any attention needed on the part of the wearer. Unless you've got full body armor with equal protection from head to toe, you are going to have to be fully aware of the soft spots...

    New D&D Figs: 45-60mm!!

Actually, that size of mini is perfectly fine with D&D as long as you don't have 20 years of minis on your shelves already. Apparently they will be including these plastic figs in the new D&D boxed set that will be released this fall, so that introductory set might create acceptance for...

    New D&D Figs: 45-60mm!!

That's about the same size as Heroclix or Mage Knight figs. They'll have lower clearance if they've got thinner bases, in case you have low-bridges on your battlemat. ;)

Price to content ratio for PDFs

I wouldn't pay $5 for a dozen V.C. Andrews books (about 4,000 pages). On the other hand, I have paid $20 for Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man (about 80 pages) -- and I am a man who lives without regrets. I know page count is important to a lot of people. But I just don't get it. Cheers
