how do they compare with Black Company setting? get some each level, fighters get lots more (and a permanent set). can use to get an extra d6 to use towards a roll. take special actions. etc I'm guessing that's a standard way of using them?

Luckily I haven't seen most of of those. the modern ones I have and mostly agree ... starship troopers looked cool, but the book was much much better. I skipped watching Wrinkle in Time, letting my memory of the book stay as is!

I'm one of those who'll stick with 3x for a while, when we can afford it and feel like it we'll pick up some 4e stuff and check it out (and read more reviews)
