dragonnel is the Draconomicon although it is a horrible rewrite ... horrible I say!!! I prefer the The Tome of Horrors version. My solution is take the the stats from the Draconomicon and the fluff/ideas from the 1e MM2

I'd assume any dragon would wear barding with magical properties ... heck even a set of magical padded barding (with cold resistance or fortification) would be helpful ... even better if it still works when the dragon polymorphs.

The school I did my masters at doesn't require GRE's ... they have found no correlation between high GRE scores and succes in a masters program. like you said, it measures how well you can take a test ... ala SAT
