As mentioned, we had and still have soft level caps in our 1e/2e game and it has never been an issue.

Almost to 20 in 5e. I have made it to 20 in 3e but not in 3.5/PF. Made it multiple times in 1e/2e hybrid we run. Leveling in 1e is fast until 9th or so, and even then, if you play all the time, many classes can get really high level.

I dont think 3 classes is something that needs to be balanced, you will be so far behind the single classed characters. Two classes? Hmmm, I need to look at the EXP numbers. For 5e I DO like race restrictions (and think they would be fine) when it comes to 1e/2e style multiclassing though, but...

Also who cares if its cannon? Are high levels just did a quick run into Myth Drannor to loot and old Temple. Guess what, its just like it was in 2nd Edition, because the DM thinks the 3e/4e/5e changes to Myth Drannor are terrible. I do recommend spending the money and picking up the box set on...

I have a 13th level battlemaster / 3 level revised ranger I am running right now and he is a beast. Hunters mark, sharpshooter, precision attack (when needed), and the occasional bless from the cleric..its damn nice.

This is what I am looking at, and trying to make sure this is balanced. Both Winged Tiefling and Aarakocra (we have seen Aarakocra played from 1st to about 11th, no issues) are currently allowed at the table. It seems fair....thoughts? Thanks Edit: Also on the fence about Elf Weapon...

I converted the inventory sheet to PDF, since I like it.

Money Ammo, Food (at low levels, at higher levels its pointless), Encumbrance, Equipment that has uses (like torches and holy water), Spell Components that are 100GP or more.

Things that come up in our games in the past and in the last year: Taxes - how much is generated and is the fief self sustaining? Buildings - I need a church to Tyr, how much does it cost? Underground - how much time and money does it take to build dungeons and the like. Can PC/NPC casters...

Don't have a problem with what you are saying, except the bolded part is your opinion, because for a lot of people/companies, success/happiness is related to how much money they make.

Also if you pretend the 4e thing didnt happen in the Forgotten Realms, it does not matter.

As a player I make sure my sheets equipment section is updated, because the other DM in the group ran a dungeon that had us trapped for like a month. It was awesome trying to survive.
