ZEITGEIST Zeitgeist planes in chapter 7?

It seems like some of this research should have survived beyond chapter 7, perhaps even a pre-made icon or two.

Boss Monsters? I Just Say No!

Well this is ironic. The climactic boss battle against the Princes of Elemental Evil in Egg of the Phoenix was the first time I killed PCs (above 1st level). They were grand heroic deaths, and I think everyone went home satisfied that they had done what was necessary to save the world.

ZEITGEIST Any issues with rearranging these ZG chapters?

Sort of. The book says Borne crosses over after the party reaches the tower, but he starts on the other side of the river, way outside the Arc's field.

ZEITGEIST Zeitgeist planes in chapter 7?

I'm having a hard time matching up the planes of the convocation proposals in chapter 7 with the ones in the gyre later. Update: missing Watchmaker planes are explained in chapter 13. Update: mostly-complete planar lineups (including some Guesses): Faction Fire Air Life Water Earth...

ZEITGEIST Any issues with rearranging these ZG chapters?

That's a good point. I'm rearranging things so Borne isn't physically present, which also eliminates the problem of a partially magical construct (witchoil power) in the dead zone.

ZEITGEIST Any issues with rearranging these ZG chapters?

Assuming the party teleports out of Methia, there will be a time-twist montage as a backlash from extended use of the Arc, and enough time has passed for the Ob to set up their plans.

ZEITGEIST Any issues with rearranging these ZG chapters?

Spoilers ahead. I don't like the way that the party is arbitrarily diverted to the Dreaming between chapters 8 & 9 for a seemingly silly side quest. So instead I'm thinking: chapter 7 reveals Nic is seeking Kasvarina fey court contacts vekeshi party member, says they can help first part of...

D&D 5E (2014) [Guide] How to Win Fights and Intimidate People (Another Barbarian Primer)

Now that some time has passed, I'd appreciate hearing people's experiences with the newer Path options. I haven't seen any of them in actual play yet myself. Also, finally added the rest of the MtG PDF races.

D&D 5E (2014) Would You Rather Have a LE or CN party member?

It's not that simple. You have to factor in alignment, personality, party composition, and setting. Two CN characters at my table: #1: luxury-loving hedonist who constantly seeks enjoyment while quietly amassing power for future havoc. #2: semi-reformed street criminal who constantly seeks...

    ZEITGEIST 5E: adapting Mad Shootist?

I let my subscription lapse. Maybe it's time to renew.

    ZEITGEIST 5E: adapting Mad Shootist?

We've been playing a homebrew 5E adaptation of Zeitgeist for a while, and have just reached book 2. (I'm pleased that the 5E Players Guide is pretty similar to the rules I came up with). Our gunsmith PC wants to pursue some of the abilities from Mad S̶a̶m̶u̶s̶ Shootist (as in the PF Prestige...

ZEITGEIST Lords of the unseen court?

So far I only skimmed most of the later adventures. So much material to cover. Thanks.

ZEITGEIST Lords of the unseen court?

Ekossigan is identified as one of the six high lords of the Unseen Court. Are there other five ever specified? Is Kasvarina one? If not, I'll create them. Vekeshi party members want to know.

D&D 5E (2014) [Guide] How to Win Fights and Intimidate People (Another Barbarian Primer)

Could someone add this to the list of guides wiki post? I've tried multiple times but it doesn't work for me.

D&D 5E (2014) A Proper Ability Score Generation Preference Poll

You're ignoring that in addition to fitness, soldiers also need 3+ years of EXPERIENCE to join SOF (I oppose 18X). In other words, they aren't 1st level level characters (I'd say at least 5th) and those high stats you desire are actually AFTER ability score increases. :p

D&D 5E (2014) High Level Zealot Barbarians Immortal?

Aw yes, now I know for sure, my next character will be a Half-Elf Zealot. Party face barbarian and manic street preacher. "Hail and well met, new friends! Let us drink ale together and revel in the name of Ishtar. Oh, you haven't heard the good word of Our Lady of Love and War? That's no...

D&D 5E (2014) A Proper Ability Score Generation Preference Poll

You're completely neglecting that stats worked differently in AD&D compared to 3E & later. An old-school 15 stat gave you a +1 modifier, which is what you get from a 12 in this millennium. A character with all 14s for stats would be terrible in AD&D, but in 5E that would be entirely playable...

D&D 5E (2014) High Level Zealot Barbarians Immortal?

Wait, wait! This thread is all based on a misunderstanding. Persistent Rage Beginning at 15th level, your rage is so fierce that it ends early only if you fall unconscious or if you choose to end it. Emphasis added. The original 1 minute time limit on Rage still applies. Persistent only...
