    Abjurant Champion

Even though we can reasonably assume that Mage Armor was intended I will point out that the wording allows for its use in any spells that are published in the future that qualify.

The Rejection of "Balance" in an RPG

And what -exactly- do Bard's do best? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. Seriously now... My answer is that what the Bard does best is making everyone else rock even MORE than they could without the Bard. And this is from someone who is currently playing a 20th level Bard and is one of two players...

The Rejection of "Balance" in an RPG

Compare them how? -In straight up combat the Combat Monster Shapechanging Druid build would be better (I would hope that it would be since the Druid has built themselves for that) -In social situations the Bard would likely be better. -In stealthy and sneaky situations the Bard would likely be...

2006 WotC D&D Product Survivor - Player's Handbook II is the sole survivor!

This is how the show does it and it is pointed out multiple times to be sure and read the question.

2006 WotC D&D Product Survivor - Player's Handbook II is the sole survivor!

PHB2 for the win!!! FCII is a very good product but as a player (and not a DM) I use the PHB2 much more and I believe it has had a greater impact on our game than the monster series has.

What Gaming Stuff Do You Plan/Want To Buy This Year?

Complete Scoundrel Complete Champion Magic Item Compendium Star Wars Saga Edition

    Celestial Codex Series?

Sounds good to me. While I'm not 'sold' on it simply by the idea I am definately interested.

    2006 WotC D&D Product Survivor - Round 16 (Final 3)

Voting FC:I Great book - but I'm rooting for PHB2 to win.

What version of D&D is your favourite to play (expanded poll)

Cue the Choir (Final Battle music)

I've built soundtracks to our campaign that has just hit 20th level. Looking over the music that I queued up: While not "Final Battle" worthy the soundtracks to Soul Calibur II and III have a lot of good Not-Quite Big Bad Evil Guy music. If your looking for stuff that is a little moodier...

Stepping over "The Line" in a campaign

We have "Quick Save" jokes from time to time when we know we about to get into a nasty fight or we have a character do something we as players know to be Stupid With A Capital S. But that's it. No real Saved Game File or anything..

    Derogatory term for cohort

Our group has a tendancy to refer to the cohorts as "Feat" (as in the Leadership Feat). After all, they are feats and not real PCs.

    Dear Hasbro: about those minis

But what about the Fiendish Dire Flumph in Spiked Full Plate I need for next week's session?

    Dear Hasbro: about those minis

I read through the entire thread and I didn't see much. Most of what I saw seemed to be that we were asking the boxed sets to REPLACE the random line. That isn't what we are asking (or at least what I am asking - a few people did come across that way and I'm not sure if they intended to or...

    Dear Hasbro: about those minis

Sign me up. I'm won't ask WotC to stop their randomized mini line. If they are raking in the dough - I say "Congrats! Make the money! Stay in business!" I don't wnat them to stop the old - only add in a new. I would want the Box 'O Orcs, Box 'o Skeletons and the like. As far as the rule...

    2006 WotC D&D Product Survivor - Round 11

I've heard more about Slaughterguarde than I have about Hand (okay - maybe I've heard more recently) and I have actually looked at the Slaughterguard product (which is more than I can say for Hand). I liked the mini-boxed-set/mini-campaign set up for Slaughterguard and it is that that concept...

    2006 WotC D&D Product Survivor - Round 11

Down with Adventures! More because I have no use for them that anything else at this point. As before, Revenloft gets a pass by me since it is Ravenloft and I actually purchased it. Red Hand it is. It may be a very good product, I wouldn't know (and I fully admit that is why it is doomed in...

[EDITION WARZ] Selling Out D&D's Soul?

By you or your DMs maybe, but not by any DMs I've played under. The only times I've ever run into Rust Monsters have been through D&D video games. Never through any table top game I have played.

How many pages does it take to keep track of your PC's abilities?

Not sure exactly what you are asking by 'PC's Abilities'. The paper to cover "What do I have left in the day" is quite small. What all that stuff does and affects is quite large. Here is the library that I use at the table: 4 pages of character sheet (2 double sided). Could condence it down...

Curse of the Azure Bonds - your experiences?

Same here. It was my favorite of the Gold Box set - I thought it had the tightest story of any of them. I have been scared of Shambling Mounds ever since. I must admit, I think the code wheel is the most unique copy protection I have ever seen. I've seen it hacked but it definately required...
