What is the toughest printed creature?

You are right, mighty Alzrius. Maybe that's why I "forgot" about the Monkey King. :o DOH!

What is the toughest printed creature?

Yes, the Monkey King has a CR of "No Hope". Interesting. Very powerful critter. Forgot about him

    Book of Templates: Deluxe Edition

Thanks for the review, John! I'll pass the word along to Chris Sims and perhaps he'll comment here as well. As you mention, the Book of Templates: Deluxe Edition (BOTDE) is 3.0 and not 3.5. We ran into numerous production delays and, as a PDF-only publisher, were not privy to the updated 3.5...

    RRAARRGGHH! (jiggle jiggle)

Well, they say "he who laughs last is probably an Englishman". I'm not English and this is *really* delayed, but: LOL! :)

What is the toughest printed creature?

Pitting creatures (epic or not) against deities is not really fair. Of course hec is going to lose to a deity. A lot of it depends on the strategies used by each, as well. I guess in my mind deities do not count as "creatures" but rather extremely powerful NPCs. That's what makes horse racing...

    New critter

I know what you mean. They're so versitile! Players are going to hate this one. I might even beef it up a bit for some occasions...

    Blood Royal

Then why not a 1 rating? You seem to think this product deserved it... I picked it up on PDF recently. I'll thumb through it soon. Thanks for the review! Got a good chuckle out of your comments.

What is the toughest printed creature?

Well, a paragon hecatoncheires would certainly be a pain in the you-know-where. Make it pseudonatural while you're at it and/or apply the "winged" template from Savage Species to it. Presto! Flying 100-handed freak of doom :D The walking glacier with the same treatment (nix the pseudonatural -...

    Basic HD Progression

Thanks for the 411, guys. I've always wondered about that, but I've never really taken the time to study it out. I love coming up with critter ideas, I just have been slow to stat them up because of weird stuff like HD progression, skill points, etc. So basically, HD progression is rule of...

    Basic HD Progression

I'm curious. What is the standard HD progression for creature sizes? Anyone care to post it or know where it can be found (web or otherwise)? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

What is the toughest printed creature?

The hundred-handed horror (Hecatoncheires) in the Epic Level Handbook is one mean critter. I tremble in fear of the thing and I'm the DM! :) A tarrasque is so cliche, anyway...
