Are a commoner's (not monk's!) unarmed strikes natural weapons?

A Commoner's Fist *is* a natural weapon, via logic, it certainly isnt unnatural, and there is a rules precedent for it to be considered Natural, via the monk. If I dont consider it natural, I move next to manufactured, which it is decidedly not, and then from there, what am I left with? Also...

Are a commoner's (not monk's!) unarmed strikes natural weapons?

I choose not to believe that a monk's fist is demonstrably different than a commoner's fist, and thus I apply the rule that a monk's unarmed strike counts as a natural weapon to a commoner, to an aristrocrat, to a fighter with IUS, and to a Battle Dancer. Thus my vote is the same, and my rules...

    Improved Skirmish Over the Top?

First, 28d6 vs 80d6 is a huge difference. Second, the rogue has the same 19 bab as that scout, and Mages dont need to eat full attacks, and are far more powerful than rogues or scouts.

unfortunately not Finally settled, sunder and attacks of opp

The thing is, I dont really care. I play sunder as a melee attack, and allow it in AoO's, and do some despite my belief that that isnt raw. Regardless of what the table says, or text says, I do it the way that makes the best sense to me. Skips RoTG articles have no bearing on that though, and...

unfortunately not Finally settled, sunder and attacks of opp

Perhaps, but I am fairly confident that Skip has the power at WoTC to get errata/changes made in the PHB, so if I were in error, and not him, it would have happened officially by now. When the designer disagrees with what his own rule means, it means either he didnt say what he meant, or someone...

A commoner Unarmed Strikes are Natural Weapons?

The post right above yours, from me, contains the argument supporting it, and my vote was one of the "They are" votes.

unfortunately not Finally settled, sunder and attacks of opp

If the RotG, and the FAQ, and all these other sources truly consider Sunder along the lines of trip, etc, why not correct it in either an errata, or correct it in the special edition phb, or correct it at some point? I think Skip, and the others, make the same mistake I made originally, which...

    Surprise Products

Tome of Battle: The Book of Nine Swords. It got terrible reviews, but I loved it more than any other 3.5 book to this point. It didnt have the greatest polish, and even some of the crunch was...a little all over the place, power wise, but, I simply love it.

Who's got the right stuff for League of Extraordinary Gentlemen 1990s?

But, Celebrim, if I were picking classic literary characters, I'd definitely pick some of his. He is certainly a giant currently. And, if we're picking characters from the 90's, I guess they really only have to have generated some cross-genre marketing. So if we're looking at books only, then we...

unfortunately not Finally settled, sunder and attacks of opp

I, Like Nail, entered considering sunder a melee attack(about 5 sunder threads ago) and after reading Hypersmurf's case, now believe the raw interpretation is as he says it is. I continue to play sunder as a melee attack with footnote 7, and acknowledge thats house rules, but to each their own.

Who's got the right stuff for League of Extraordinary Gentlemen 1990s?

Establishment critics have no bearing on wether works will endure or not. Many authors and painters have been lampooned and insulted in their day, and 100 years later, venerated as the greatest creative geniuses of their time. Others have been venerated in their time, and then forgotten. I...

    Improved Skirmish Over the Top?

The same feat type as the one that lets Scout and Ranger stack from the "28d6" is bad camp. Just to be clear, a level 20 rogue with just 15/10/5 does 30d6 sneak per round, though, and hasnt used any feats whatsoever to do it, so 28d6 is nothing to write home about. Daring Outlaw is the name of...

[3.5e] Undersea Adventures: "Heirs of Turucambi"

I believe we are still recruiting. Hags, undead, monsters, pirates, treasure, Sahuagin and sharks, how can you go wrong?

    Improved Skirmish Over the Top?

Let me consider this and do some math. Lets say, Rogue 3/Swashbuckler 17, with TWF/Imp TWF/GTWF, we have iterative attacks at 17/17/12/12/7/7/2/2 for 10d6 sneak each, thats 80d6 sneak attack damage. What was the improved manyshot problem with 28d6 damage again?

Thats about all I have to say on it.

unfortunately not Finally settled, sunder and attacks of opp

I've read them all, and gotten great delight over each new post of yours. Reading this thread is a gift that keeps giving. I've been chuckling for almost 35 straight minutes. You continue to be wrong, your logic is atrocious, and Hypersmurf has the patience of a saint. A saint. I'd have been...

unfortunately not Finally settled, sunder and attacks of opp

No one is going to convince Bestone he is not correct, so I suggest you allow him to feel as he does. If this wasnt Enworld, I'd think he was trolling, but I know no posters on Enworld troll. Its not done here.

    Help with my Unarmed Dervish

Ascetic Scout to add smirkish bonus stacking with unarmed strikes, and then scout 3/monk 3 +3 more of either or both to taste with 10 dervish?

unfortunately not Finally settled, sunder and attacks of opp

Hypersmurf has already proved his claim. I am fully in agreement with him. Errata is issued to fix errors in the text, absent errata, there must not be any errors in the text, and thus, Hypersmurf is correct. The text claims nothing beyond Sunder is a melee attack, and melee attacks can be...
