Remind me which were the b0rken White Raven maneuvers again?

Odd, are these same huge baddies hard to kill using Time Stop, Miracle, and Wish? Meteor Storm? Raise City? Gate? Just wondering.

Combat Reflexes a Rogue Must-Have Feat?

If the Beguiler is broken, the Cleric is positively smashed, and so is the Druid. Since 2 of the main core classes are smashed wide open, I guess its ok for Scout to be slightly broken, since slightly broken means "balanced ok" compared to smashed base classes. Or we are using Broken to mean...

Monk Musings... (not a good reply from WotC)

Ahh, the faq. I dont use, or even consider, the information contained in that "document"

Monk Musings... (not a good reply from WotC)

I seem to recall monks unarmed strikes not having any off-hands at all.

Remind me which were the b0rken White Raven maneuvers again?

9th level maneuvers are allowed to be ridiculous IMG. Seeing as they compete with Wish, Miracle, and Time Stop.

    Most broken prestige classes?

Dont they give up medium bab and d8 hit dice for poor bab and d6 hit dice? Doesnt this mean they give up their martial prowess to become a better spellcaster? And dont tell me base clerics dont make excellent warriors.

Is ECL a problem from levels 1 to 6?

Option 1 sounds interesting, Ry. I'd go with that.

Is ECL a problem from levels 1 to 6?

Races with a level adjustment are almost always worse, and low levels is when they are their weakest. If you are giving anyone bonuses, I'd give it to the LA+1 races.

Improved Natural Attack Vs Improved Unarmed Strike

Never considered Kensai, mostly because it doesnt add much, I can just enchant my claws/bite with normal magic for the same benefit. Looks like i'm just gonna go Warblade and use tiger claw maneuvers.

Improved Natural Attack Vs Improved Unarmed Strike

Or, as a community supporter, I could search the site, but since I contributed to half those threads, there would be no point. Further, since I phrased the OP in such a way to avoid discussing INA for IUS, since I'm not concerned about monks, or IUS at all, in this case. What I am interested in...

Improved Natural Attack Vs Improved Unarmed Strike

Thats a pretty cool progression, but what if your hands are already claws? I guess the real answer to the question is, no, a creature with a claw/claw/bite is basically stuck with 1d6+str damage from 1 to 20, with the exception of INA, which is only selectable once. Becoming the supreme master...

Improved Natural Attack Vs Improved Unarmed Strike

If you read the OP, I didnt ask if monks could flurry with natural weapons. I already know they cant by the RAW. I'll rephrase/restate the relevant section from the original post: "Is there any monk style progression for claws, or anything of the sort? If not, why not? Would you allow a...

    Hit Points and D&D

There are. You get Hero Points for doing stuff thats in the style of the game. Hero points are incredibly useful. Everyone wants them, the more you have, the more great stuff you can do, the more options you have, and so, like all good carrots, they reward staying in convention. So uh, there...

Improved Natural Attack Vs Improved Unarmed Strike

I dont want to play an enlarging, wraithstriking INA using Eldritch Knight. I already know where that thread will go, since unarmed strikes and natural weapons are such close cousins, I wanted to take this thread in a different direction

Improved Natural Attack Vs Improved Unarmed Strike

Flurrying with claws, Bite as a secondary natural attack would be my feeling. Using up a feat feels fair, for sure.

Improved Natural Attack Vs Improved Unarmed Strike

I know I can take INA, because I have real Natural attacks, namely Talon Bite and Rake.

Improved Natural Attack Vs Improved Unarmed Strike

Perhaps if discussing Monk vs a Tyrannosaurus Rex, I'm talking about an Eberron shifter, or a Lycanthrope(Wererat? Werewolf?) templated creature with claw/claw/bite. Alright, I'm being disingenuous, I'm talking about my Sahuagin, and framing it in a better light, but its still talon/talon/bite...

Improved Natural Attack Vs Improved Unarmed Strike

why is a monk attacking with 15/15/15/15/10/5 for 1d20+4x6 equal to a monster with 20/20/15/15/10/5 for 1d6+4x5 and 1d6+2? I dont understand

Improved Natural Attack Vs Improved Unarmed Strike

Ok, the premise. If I want to be a crazy martial arts master, using elbows, knees, fists, headbutts, and do 1d20 + as my damage dice, I can be a Monk with INA, and Supreme Unarmed Strike, etc, and get bigger damage dies, etc. What if I want to improve the damage dice of my...

    A cohort as a mount

I meant the one doing the "stern talking to" would be the mount itself, not the DM ;) By the by, my Sahuagin character is going to have a Wild Cohort/Animal Companion Shark Mount, but no spurs. Dont want a Jaws mouth around my head. ;)
