    Fuzzy Knights in London, Baby!

The comic strip IS the movie. It's a frame-by-frame film, or at least that's how you're supposed to picture it as you're reading. It's kind of hard to explain how it's done in the style of film, not comics, when it really is a comic, but I think Mossy pulls it off pretty well. Looking forward...

Oh Man, Is This Party Screwed

His PC was in a tight spot and he moved away? How inconsiderate.

Diety favored weapon - is cleric automatically proficient?

Actually, everybody's proficient with Simple weapons, right? Even commoners? So I guess they don't teach you squat about weapons in Cleric School. Proficieny in these weapons is just part of growing up in a D&D world. "Son, it's about time you learned how to fight with a spiked gauntlet..."

Diety favored weapon - is cleric automatically proficient?

It just seems odd that while clerics are attending cleric school, they are taught to use tons of other weapons, but not the one their deity would prefer them to use.

Diety favored weapon - is cleric automatically proficient?

This should be a quick question. If a diety's favored weapon is an exotic weapon, are his clerics automatically proficient with it?

I hate reach and attacks of opportunity (old thread)

Hordes of mooks. Even with combat reflexes, he only gets a limited number of AoOs. And if he wastes them on 5hp underlings, then the REAL enemy can act with impunity. Just wait 'till he figures out he should stock up on Enlarge Person potions. And then wait till he takes the Exotic Weapon...

My @!@#! Player abusing Feather Fall

Actually I think that's pretty clever on his part.

    Why no mighty crossbows?

Well, you could rule that it takes a number of rounds equal to the Mighty bonus to work the crank. And that for each bonus to Str a character has, that number is reduced by one (to a minimum of a move action).

    Why no mighty crossbows?

OK, so historically there is no precident, and realistically the physics don't really work that well. But within the context of a D&D game, where the weapon rules are unrealistic at best anyway, might it not be reasonable to allow characters to purchase such an item?

    Why no mighty crossbows?

It seems to make sense that they would exist. A crossbow with a heavier pull that can only be loaded by a character with the approprate strength bonus, and then deals the Mighty bonus to damage when fired. The only potential I can see for abuse is to have all the characters have a mighty...

    New Weapon: Double Crossbow

No, not the one from Ladyhawke. Double Crossbow Type: Exotic Weapon Description: This light crossbow is fitted with one string that but is capable of firing two bolts simultaniously. Both bolts must target the same creature, but they use a single attack roll. When firing two bolts, a -2...

How do you buy and sell magic items?

He's saying "Why can you buy mundane items worth X amount, but not magical items worth the same amount or more." Or, "some mundane items are more powerful than some magic items, yet they are available readily and the magic items are not... why not?"

How do you buy and sell magic items?

D&D worlds are much simpler than the real world. They do not operate by the rules of supply and demand. Prices are set in stone and stay that way, barring DM intervention. The price for a gem for a raise dead spell is always 5000gp, for example, regardless of the availability of diamonds or the...

How do you buy and sell magic items?

I loathe "magic shops" as a concept, but yes, my characters can purchase whatever they can afford straight out the the DMG, presuming the town is large enough to have the item in question within their wealth limit. I'm presuming there is a market for such items. Anything that can be created for...

D&D 3.x Green Slime and Brown Mold in v3.5?

And yet Shriekers made it into the MM. OK, so game designers are only human and not entirely consistent. :p

D&D 3.x Green Slime and Brown Mold in v3.5?

I think they should be in the MM, personally. A page for "slimes" and another for "molds" with several different types of each would be kind of cool.

Rules of the game: Mounts part 1

I think it'd be pretty funny for the character to fall off in the middle of the jump and have the horse keep going. Of course, when jumping over a deep ravine this might have consequences.

    Hexes or Squares?

Quick question - assuming your hexes are 5' hexes - how tall or wide is the room? It seems... indeterminate.

Where to find XPs for item creation?

Ah, I take it this isn't the sort of campaign where you can just go off with your money and purchase a bunch of items for yourself then... You might ask the DM if he'll allow XP-point sharing when crafting. So the person getting the item can pay 50% of the xp cost or something.

    Hexes or Squares?

They're layed row-by-row like bricks, so each row is half a square offset from the previous row. Each square is adjacent to 6 other squares. I would have used this except I made my own big battlemat out of a sheet of plexiglass, and it was time consuming enough just to use a T-square and make...
