AtG Howling Crag (5e PBP) OOC

Hey, no worries, I do it all the time. It’s hard to remember all the spells all the time. So Gimlak can make a few of us fly. The more that fly, the higher the slot. Best would be 2 people (level 4 slot), 1 rider each, with Kahru being able to do it himself. I re-read the spell, and there is no...

Gimlak nods to the giant and says Telepathically we will be able to communicate for a bit. I re-read telepathic speech. It only lasts sorcerer level minutes (11) but message is 120 ft so that may be enough when we are closer. Telepathic Speech. Bonus Action. Pick a creature you can see within...

fyi, Gimlak can do this through Telepathic speech. A different ability to use telepathy on 1 creature. Unless your character has that capability.

I fully agree. This would bring the most goodwill to the party. Cheers, Sg

And Gimlak can upcast invisibility, up to 5 targets for up to 1 hour. That should help with stealth. Cheers, SG

Hey guys, If we can find a way to to close enough, Gimlak can cast dispell magic using a high level slot. I just realized that I didn't give him detect magic (don't know what I was thinking there), so someone else will need to cast that to validate magical influence... Cheers, SG

Telepathically, Gimlak adds. If there is mind magic at play, I may be able to remove it. Getting close enough will be the challenge. I can make us invisible, but that may not be enough,

Well, for him to “link up” Gimlak would need to recast the ritual in his presence. 10 minutes, and obvious to the other giants. Best telepathic option imho is Gimlak’s telepathic speech, but he’ll need line of sight to activate and 30 distance at first. A non telepathic way to have contact with...

AtG Howling Crag (5e PBP) OOC

Hey guys, imho, a good gambit atm is to get as many giants to be in Gimlak’s field of view so he can mass suggestion them. 12 targets, no concentration. And will spell points, Gimlak can cast this many times (level 6). I’d prefer to wait a bit so he can see more than 2 so he doesn’t waste a...

Gimlak answers the colonel telepathically but for all to hear stealth or magical cohersion, everything is on the table Gimlak has a high persuasion bonus at +8. So definitely helping the colonel

(IC) Quickleaf's Rime of the Frostmaiden

im assuming that we took a short rest, so Aric has his wild shapes back. I’m also assuming that it’s possible to wild shape into a bigger dog, that has the stats of a dire wolf so I can use that stat bloc. Aric thinks and turns to Oskar. “We should get the others. I can transform into a wolf or...

(IC) Quickleaf's Rime of the Frostmaiden

Aric shows what he noticed “Hmmm a pole and a whitish grey beard, better than nothing!” based on Aric’s experience, would a scent trail still be present? He could wild shape into a dog to follow the trail. Also, are there hints of a general direction to follow based on the tacks/holes?

(IC) Quickleaf's Rime of the Frostmaiden

Aric nods in agreement, but takes his time before going back to the cold. He’s pretty good at tracking, even if the wind and snow won’t make it easy. here’s a survival check: 13 and 22 I did 2 rolls in case you want to apply disadvantage

(IC) Quickleaf's Rime of the Frostmaiden

Aric is tired. The cold made him forget, but the warmth of the fireplace relaxes him, and he fights the urge to sit in a chair and fall asleep. But that wouldn’t be prudent. There is evil present, so they all must be careful. He asks the group “Are there clues as to who may have done the...

absolutely, before we leave, Gimlak does a ritual to set up rary's telepathic link. Our characters are now networked! Don't forget the +15 thp from inspiring leader, done right after waking up Gimlak stands relaxed and proud next to the Colonel. He has all the allure of a dwarf that expects to...

Gimlak is going through the front door, he’s a talker, not a sneaker!

That was my plan. And with spell points, Gimlak could mass suggest again (no concentration) the Thane’s entourage, and with an extra 2 sp, the Thane itself would have disadvantage on the save. If they all fail their saves (they won’t), I figure we could have 36 giants that follow our suggestion...

AtG Howling Crag (5e PBP) OOC

I'm fine either way. One thing though, given that Gimlak is a representative of his clan, if we fight the Giants, we need to wipe them out because one thing he can't accept is future retribution. So I say we converse, and I'm hoping (can't wait!) to use mass suggestion (12 targets, no...
