Steam and Steel (EN Publishing) has a nifty way of going about that. It has solar collectors which are not magical (or are quasi-magical?). Use them to power generators and you get your juice. Or drop the magical requirement for alchemy and have chemical battery based technology.

Do you have the Dragon article that expanded the social options? It is in one of the late 250's or 260's. I have used that alone in almost every game, not matter the genre, with multiple races and come up with some very odd, but useful cultures.

Actually, they are rip offs of the same book. At least SC was willing to go with the Arachnid/Skinny/Human trio from the source material. And I reiderate my previous comment that I would enjoy a SC setting book and add as long as it is a minimum of 300 pages.

After reading GURPS Y2K (which has very good sections on this subject), I have to say that I would hope for 6 months, longer if I was able to head south to survive the winter. But as the book says- I will die from disease or some other complication due to the absence of modern medicine.

Or have PCs from the future leading the army- they know everything that is going to happen and are trying to stop themselves from whatever.

The life twister and disease master interest me the most. What is the release date for this?
