    D20 Future = Alternity Star*Drive?

GRAPH is gravity, radiation, atmospheric composition, pressure and temperature. Each has its own rules on how heros interact or survive within such conditions. Gravity is rather easy- speeds (inc falling damage) and skill checks are the only things affected (except in G5 where the heros go...

    Bizarre RPGs

Digging through my collection, I found one more- Hunter Planet. This Aussie game has the PCs as aliens hunting humans on planet Dirt. It is very Paranoia like.

    Bizarre RPGs

Sorry about the incorrect title- it has been a while since I even looked at P:SoF. Not exactly modern, but the first 2 bizzare rpgs might be Metamorphosis Alpha and Gamma World. With 11 editions between them, there is plenty to mine from. Modernish, though completely in the realm of fantasy...

    Bizarre RPGs

Ship of Fools is a hallucination. Povidence is a 4 color superhero game with winged people imprisoned within a hollow world. vs Monsters is a sureal world set about 1900 America. The PCs can't escape and have to deal with a semi-apathic populace that is being attacked by monsters. Personally...

    Alternity - from TSR

I love Alternity, it so easy to tinker with and get so many interesting results. Not enough skill points, ask the GM for more (or a higher level). It isn't going to break any sort of balance as long as each hero starts with the same amount. Think combat is too slow, use static numbers for...

    Formians

I was never a fan of making them outsiders since I used them a fair amount in 1e. However, they are still a spiffy idea and templates make them even more spiffy. Plantform= attack of the shrubs with mind control pollen Amphibious= lobstermen of the deep Arborial= tree swinging antmen...

    Magic Construction Projects

Ironically I was just reading up on that today in 2 issues of Dragon. 242 has an article on the subject and 253 has day jobs for wizards, including magical construction. One idea I got was wizard guilds that manipulate the topography of the ground via move earth, dig and such- anyone who can...

    Good Dragon Articles II

Even though the thread was started for the last issues, there isn't any reason not to a) post older ones in the thread I linked in the OP, or b) ignore me and post whatever you want. I honestly don't care either way since I have both bookmarked for personal use.

Rules Compendium - Worst timed release ever?

I wonder if this is to be like Unearthed Arcana and 95-100% OGC. It would be the last "update" of the 3.5 SRD if so.

    Good Dragon Articles II

Bump since the last print issue was released.

    CODE MONKEYS "APPEARANCE"

It is on the G4 channel (what was once a great source for computer information turned video games and, um, well I can't state my opinion on this board). Edit- I will try to remember to watch the episode with EGG, however.

    D&D 4E New 4e Art!

I was a fan years ago with some of his work for Alternity and Providence and he has improved immensely. I wish him luck and lots of work in 4e books.

    Broken!

I read some more and have to ask- why the term splicing? It means fusion, not fission. Now that I write that, quantum fission would be a better name for the concept.

    High Psionics: Sequestral Feats preview

I liked this idea in Genjitsu's Metablades and I will see how you did it when I go pdf shopping next time.

    Amphibian Monsters!

Is Boz looking for amphibians or amphibious creatures? A lot posted are reptiles and fish. And if the latter, is there any seals and walrus stats?

    Fantasy "biotechnology" and other alterations

%$(% I forgot that even though I bought it the week it came out (Lifeshapers). It is now in the OP. I hope volume II comes out soon!

    Fantasy "biotechnology" and other alterations

Thanks for the assist! Another non-d20 game that has a lot of biotech, at least for the aliens, is Burning Empires. The vaylen engineer all kinds of soldier and worker type creatures.

What do you like about Planescape?

The work on the Inner Planes. I am not a fan of the wheel, but the MC III does the elemental planes such a great service.

    Mythopoetic Games gone?

Wow, it wasn't there about 6 pm yesterday. I even deleted my bookmark.

    Fantasy "biotechnology" and other alterations

Bioroids, in Transhuman Space, are built and not bred (ie the various organs and tissues are put together in a lab). Rereading the symbiote chapter in Wildwood (actually about grafting), I find the rules and examples are very much like making bioroids. Use one creature (possibly from...
