Settings are difficult since each one is fluffy by definition. Personally I would suggest Oathbound, which is in print and pdf, because it is one of the most flexable settings. Even though it is set up to be a megagrind, there is plenty within the setting for everything else. Wildwood, the last...

The concept is better than the execution. I would definately want to see it revived for 4e along with Dark Sun and a completely revamped Spelljammer. I expect to see the 12th edition of Gamma World/Metamorphosis Alpha as it is still the best science fantasy setting.

After reading it, I think it would make Astromundi much more dark and different from the usual, silly Spelljammer crystal sphere. It also make infinity vine and mortiss valuable commodities as they are the only lifeforms that create air.

Bastion's Minions has a critter, the seeder, whos unique "power" is to convert humanoid males so that their offspring are seeders. The long term consequences (either 10 months or decades to centuries) can be staggering.
