What is the original source for this awesome Lockwood painting?

Bah! They are vermin! Each and every one of them! On a serious note; no they shouldn't, since they can't possibly be a halfling or a gnome, which was what I was getting at. Actually... I'm not sure what you're getting at.

What is the original source for this awesome Lockwood painting?

I have my doubts. Keepers are human-sized with pale skin and since they all look the same, I don't think they'd have tattoos. Their limbs transform into weapons, so I don't think it would use a gatling crossbow. Gnomes, however, are known for such gadgets. There are only three "little people"...

What is the original source for this awesome Lockwood painting?

That outfit, mostly the bottom half, reminds me of one of the sorcerer concept sketches that was on the countdown to 3E website. It never got used in the books AFAIK. I guess he finally used it.

Do you use accents/"funny voices" when playing your PC?

Ditto this when I'm DMing. Not so much when I'm playing...

    "Planar Handbook" - completlely useless?

Look, I don't want this thread to spiral out of control any more than Piratecat does. Thus, this is the last I have to say you about this. I stated that tattoos, spikes, etc. have been around for a long, long time, and that their inclusion does not prove that Planescape was solely or even mostly...

What is the original source for this awesome Lockwood painting?

What tried and true D&D players wouldn't make this their desktop? (a) I've never seen the Tomb of Horrors. Certainly heard plenty about it though. Nice catch! (b)Now THAT would be bragging rights! I loved this image when i saw it in Dragon mag. It's nice that Gamespy was able to put it on...

    Glaring Error in d20 Future...

Fortunately, I don't have anyone like that in my game. Playing with someone that uptight about details in a pretend game can't be fun.

    How do you handle loot?

I usually grab it with both hands and then rub it all over my bod... ee Umm, wow, that's not what this thread is about at all... Haven't run enough sessions of my current campaign to really be worrying about it yet. Since it's a low magic world I have a choice between: 1: Giving them magic...

    Taking Care of RPG Books

Four cats and two dogs. I wish we had plastic slipcovers on our furniture... and everything else frankly. :p

    How Drow Now Cow?

Haha. I was only kidding really. Seriously dragging that junk into another thread would seem petty. I wouldn't want to appear petty. Since you asked, I was referring to the "Planar Handbook - Completely Useless?" thread. The thread is going in a direction unintended by the thread starter...

Are we sick of the Drow yet?

I'm not sick of them, but then, I haven't had much exposure to them. I don't read the FR novels. I never bought an FR D&D book until 3E. I've never played with anyone that wanted to play a drow. Our group fought them in two whole skirmishes in one campaign in 2000. Staggering! :D I have Dark...

    "Planar Handbook" - completlely useless?

Which was my second answer if anyone asked me. :) Just words the press likes to toss around like shiny marbles.

    "Planar Handbook" - completlely useless?

Except that it wasn't a book about grunge and punk. Clearly a Hong Kong martial arts movie is a Hong Kong martial arts movie. So now you're saying that a book about the planes and a floating, neutral city/crossroads was about grunge and punk. Interesting. But stupid. Either an assumption or an...

    Taking Care of RPG Books

Oh yeah, aren't Paladin & company (Gamer's Bag) going to be making cloth bookcovers? Also, a few years ago I got some of these Book Sox for my PHB and DMG. Ooh, they have dragon and gargoyle patterns now too. :) I got mine at Staples, but all they had were the regular size. I'd recommend...

    Taking Care of RPG Books

Words to live by! People can promise to be careful, but that doesn't mean crap once they've ruined your book. Like I said in another thread, no one can promise that "nothing will happen" unless they are a god or Neo or something. And I don't think I've met "The One." The DM of all people asked...

    "Planar Handbook" - completlely useless?

They're buzz-words the press likes to throw around, do you really think they took the time to define it? People didn't start talking about generation X until I was half way through highschool. At the time the people whom they were referring to as Gen-X were my age. Most of the children of the...

    How Drow Now Cow?

For God's sake, just link to one of the old threads. I don't have time for this argument, what with the anti-Planescape crud going on in the other thread. It rhymes with now.

    "Planar Handbook" - completlely useless?

That looks like a contradiction. If the inhabitants of the planes are so powerful and bent on killing the PCs, then why should it matter that the Lady of Pain can smack them down without specific rules to govern how she does it? Frankly, I never saw why players concerned themselves with the...
