Boston EN World game a great success! Photo on p. 9!

Last minute suggestion: If you're in my game, and have a 3.5 PHB, you may want to bring it. Same goes for a willingness to bust out your best monster voices. :) *yawns* Need... coffee... See you soon.

Help! (gasp) drowning in D&D options... (urk) so many... can't focus... (cough)

As a DM, I see the options as a campaign toolkit. I can make my setting be unique in flavor just by including, excluding, tweaking, and renaming these cool addons as I see fit. As a player, I see the options as guidelines and surprises. I can make any character I can concieve of (within the...

What is a cohort to you?

Oh, another question: Have any of you DMs elected to remove Leadership from your games entirely? :)

What is a cohort to you?

Re: Cohort becoming full-fledged PCs I'm guessing it's "Big Bad Evil Guy". Thanks, everyone, for the input. It's interesting to see all the different opinions on this. :)

What is a cohort to you?

Hello, all. :) I'm wondering...in the metagame, what do you feel is the true player benefit of having a cohort? You know, via the Leadership feat... What I mean is: Do you think a cohort gained through Leadership should possess pure, unwavering loyalty to the character who took the feat...

How much do you really Roleplay and Immerse yourself in your character ?

I love roleplaying a la option #1. Maybe it's because I've DMed for a long time and really got into roleplaying my varied NPCs. I love challenging myself with new character personalities, etc... Just wondering "what would Feezus do?" in a given situation is a big part of D&D for me. Good...

[OT Boston] Nuggets Used Record Store

Cooool... I used to love hitting Nuggets to get a few of their "grab bags" (either 4 used CDs or 6 used cassettes in an opaque paper bag) for some random music. And to buy some good used albums. That's a great store. Haven't been there in a while. Perhaps I should visit. And I'll tell Mike...

    Daemons vs. Yugoloths

I use "Yugoloth" out of simplicity's sake, too. I'd like a "demony" name, but haven't come up with one yet...

Wasting skill points on 'background' skills

I think that's great, personally, though I do think it's traditionally an "NPC skill". If your DM's into rewarding your choice and making it matter in the game, then it's all good. I'm a DM who would do just that. :)

    Best Current RPG Artist?

I'm a big Wayne Reynolds fan, too. I loved Long's Rifts stuff, I miss seeing Valerie Valusek's work (she did all the "Volo's Guide" art)... Oh, there're just so many. :)
