You definately should take a look at Iron Heroes. It's all about per encounter abilities, and none of them look irrealistic.

LOGICALLY???? I'm sure you don't want to use the word "logically" in any sentence regaring magic! ;) Why should the caster get tired? The fighter can attack all day long without getting tired. If you want rules for weariness, than that's whole different thing. I want a magic system like this...

The only concrete fears I have regarding 4E is its proximity to SWSE. There are some good stuff in SAGA, and the good stuff is REALLY good. But there are some bad stuff in SAGA, and the bad stuff is unberably bad! I hope the presence of Mike Mearls (Book of Irong Might, Iron Heroes and Bo9S)...
