    D&D 5E (2014) Homebrew Ideas For Warlock Recharge (+)

My half-baked idea based off your half-baked ideas: Some invocations already grant at-will spellcasting so let's add some more. Obviously, we can gate them by level, pact boon, and/or patron using the ones we already have as guidelines. Remove pact magic and increase the number of invocations...

    D&D 5E (2014) 5E Survivor - Subclasses (Part XIII: Warlock)

@TwoSix I think it is from a UA that introduced modern subclasses and spells. It was a very early UA with a Cleric and Wizard (I think) subclass as well.

    D&D 5E (2014) Campaign Confounders (idea discussion)

I understand it can be difficult sometimes to avoid the toe-to-toe slugfests. I think your idea could work, even as just a learning tool for you. If it works you'll eventually be able to do it on the fly so give it a shot. One thing you could try is using the basic version of Old School Hack...

D&D 5E (2014) Using Darkness to cancel advantage and disadvantage.

I'm a proponent of attacks getting advantage against an opponent who doesn't see you as long as you can see them. 5e just uses the blinded condition and works as you said @ECMO3. I would hope 1D&D adds an addendum to the blinded condition to fix this. If they don't I'll just keep using my house...

    Dice bag vs app

Physical dice in person and the option to use a roller or physical dice on Roll20/Discord. I find the dice are faster than most apps unless you've programmed in a bunch of stuff.

D&D 5E (2014) Companion thread to 5E Survivor - Subclasses (Part XIII: Warlock)

A lot of that hate stems from the multiclassing implications more than anything else. It's too bad because it's otherwise a fine subclass. I like the flavor of the Archfey, GOO, Genie, and Fathomless warlocks. I'm not holding my breathe for any of them to win though.

    Dumbest rpg idea ever?

https://mathsgear.co.uk/products/d10-inside-a-d10 I have a buddy that has one. Not sure it's any better than 2d10s but I'll take it over a d100.

D&D 5E (2014) Giving Classes an Additional Saving Throw? (+)

I forgot to say why I would make these picks. Barbarian: They kinda already get Dex saves from other features so stop beating around the bush and give it to them. Bard: Int feels appropriate for a class that is supposed to be a jack of all trades. That and they get a bunch of illusion spells so...

D&D 5E (2014) Giving Classes an Additional Saving Throw? (+)

Not taking into account common vs uncommon saves I would go: Barbarian (STR / CON) + DEX Bard (DEX / CHA) + INT Cleric (WIS / CHA) + CON Druid (INT / WIS) + DEX Fighter (STR / CON) + DEX Monk (STR / DEX) + WIS Paladin (WIS / CHA) + STR Ranger (STR / DEX) + WIS Rogue (DEX / INT) + CHA Sorcerer...

    D&D 5E (2014) Potions in your game

My games have tended to be magical enough to allow for purchasing of uncommon potions. Healing potions are by far the most used followed by potions of resistance. Anything after that is a rare find in a treasure hoard unless someone is dabbling in alchemy.

They are both strong archetypes and do a good job of embodying the rogue. Not surprised they are currently leading the pack.

D&D General Not *Another* Halfling Thread! (+)

    A. Kinda cheating since it's a video game but I'll always have a soft spot for Mazzy Fentan from BG2. The racial restrictions didn't allow her to be a paladin but she did what she wanted. 2. Ran a campaign where everyone had to live in cities protected by magical shields against soul stealing...

    Dumbest rpg idea ever?

Though I've only ever heard of it I'm assuming you mean RaHoWa (sp?). In a more dumb instead of hateful route my vote is for dice towers. Thanks for being a noisy, slow, waste of space.

D&D 5E (2014) Companion thread to 5E Survivor - Subclasses (Part XII: Rogues)

If you want to play a Sherlock Holmes type character without magic I guess this is the subclass for it. I've never seen one in play but the level 3 features seem fine. Toss expertise on Insight, put a 12+ in Wisdom, and at level 3 your insight rolls are a minimum of 12 or higher. Now you can use...
