Yeah, Paizo is divorcing their products from the OGL entirely so they aren't reliant on WotC whatsoever. Unfortunately, this means that the drow are going away.

If memory serves right, Margaret Weis Productions (formerly Sovereign Press) had a limited print run on that book. It's the hardest Dragonlance 3e book to find in hardcover. And the most sought-after!

I think an obvious setting for conversion to 5e would be Pathfinder since both Pathfinder and 5e evolved in their respective ways from D&D 3.5. And hey, if you're converting Pathfinder, you might as well convert Starfinder too. :)

If you haven't already, check out Adventures in Rokugan. It uses the 5e rules, though they have their own classes, species, and such. Still, should be able to be adapted for use with regular 5e pretty easily.

One of my favorite races from the 4e era was the deva, from the 4e Player's Handbook 2. Shannon Appelcline's history of the book says the following about them. So yes, we have aasimar back in 5e, which is fine, but they don't have the cool backstory or visuals the deva of 4e had.
