    Rule of Three 4/25/11

I am thinking of classes that don't have an essentials counterpart, such as the Runepriest, Seeker, Artificer and such forth. I don't see books giving them any support frankly, because they have no essentials classes. On the other hand Wizards love publishing mage builds while claiming it's...

P2 - Demon Queen's Enclave - so this is the best WotC module, really?!

Yeah it is from Monster Vault. I really liked both the DM's Kit and Monster Vault adventures.

    Rule of Three 4/25/11

I wouldn't put it past Wizards to be dumb enough to think that would be a viable answer. Most of the "Heroes of Shadow shows there is support for old classes stuff" comes entirely out of the fact it has powers wizards/clerics can take. That's not really a satisfying answer to me and I'm...

    Rule of Three 4/25/11

Is Threats to the Plane of Existence an actual thing? I haven't seen any other monster vault products other than Nentir Vale. Also I would argue if they can't make products that support all three tiers in monsters, then that is a core flaw with the product from the beginning.

Legends and Lore / Rule-of-Three Puzzle

Clearly this is a critical success on your perception check! I am most intrigued.

    Rule of Three 4/25/11

#1 Could be interpreted as being a good sign or "More Mage builds are on the way so we're TOTALLY supporting previous stuff as any wizard can take it". I am mixed on my feelings with regards to that. #2 Same feeling as above. Basically for those answers to mean anything to me I need to see...

    Online Monster Builder questions

I might have - one some level - comprehended their gigantic screw up on this issue if the maths for leveling/deleveling monsters actually worked correctly. As it doesn't use the correct maths, the one thing it could have been useful for it actually isn't.

    Were MM1 monsters truly underpowered?

That would explain why you haven't noticed it, because this problem really only begins towards the end of the heroic tier and definitely in paragon. Once in epic you might as well be throwing house cats at your party, they are about that effective.

P2 - Demon Queen's Enclave - so this is the best WotC module, really?!

Slaying Stone, Orcs of Sourfang Pass, Tomb of Horrors, Reavers of Harkenfold are all really pretty decent adventures IMO. I think Reavers of Harkenfold is probably their best and is the culmination of 2 years of solid design work. It is in fact the best thing about the DM's Kit (little else is...

Why CompoundWord Monsters Don't Bother Me

Your argument is so terribly silly Kamikaze. Murders are infinitely more serious than compoundwords are and are serious, regardless of their actual rarity. By trying to equate murders and compoundwords, you lose any possible viable position in the debate and your argument is severely undermined...

    Monster Makeover: Shademaw

There are no ancient dragons in the MV full stop, which was and still is a very sore spot for me. There are ancient catastrophic dragons in MM3 though.

    Were MM1 monsters truly underpowered?

That is just absolutely not true. Nothing pre-MM3 could challenge a party with a warlord and if you threw in a wizard with bloodmage you just added insult to injury. These were probably two of the strongest classes in 4E, both from the PHB and in fact they still are. Rangers are another example...

    Monster tactics 101?

It's one of the worst encounters written in 4E actually, with only the original Irontooth encounter from HS1 being anywhere near as bad. Silt Runners are just way above the ridiculous level for the level they are. At level 1 they do 4d6+4 damage AND inflict vulnerable 5 all with their attack...

    Flaming Weapon Stealth Errata?

So as an update, I'm just back from the hospital. It turns out if you're made of the same stuff your opponent is using as a weapon, it doesn't logically mean you're automatically immune! Next time I get into a Kung-Fu fight I'm bringing his only weakness: Bullets.

    Heroes of Shadow

Once again it's important to realize that poison as a damage keyword is quite unique: It actually has non-damaging effects under its purview. Necrotic does not. Even if your power is necrotic and poison, it's irrelevant because the necrotic doesn't count for the non-damaging parts of the power...

    Heroes of Shadow

Actually immunity to poison does protect you from a powers non-damaging effects. See the poison keyword in the compendium. You should reread the section again, because you are misinterpreting how this works. If you are immune to poison, you don't suffer the non-damaging parts of a poison keyword...

    Heroes of Shadow

This is true, but you are thinking of damage and not effects. Poison immunity confers immunity to effects. The necrotic keyword makes no difference here, as it is merely damage and the creatures are resistant to it anyway. This is correct, but what you've missed is the ACTUAL part of the trap...

    Flaming Weapon Stealth Errata?

I don't know what world you live in, but I happen to be made of flesh and so I am firmly immune to other things made of flesh. Let me just pick a fight with this kung fu master over here to prove my point. BRB.

    Monster Makeover: Shademaw

Which is ironically what charging builds by epic want to do anyway (and charging is currently the main way of doing damage in the current metagame as well). That power is pretty normal though for a defensive kind of power.

    Monster Makeover: Shademaw

:( Clearly, I am failing then. Here I was thinking the entire forum was sick of me and epic tier... Believe it or not, those things are actually pretty reasonable. Bear in mind that PCs at epic level have numerous powers, epic destinies to restore them from death and can really take a...
