I can certainly understand your point of view - and can understand that some people might not like that - but its not really something that has had any bearing on our game in a negative way. Maybe one day that will turn out not to be the case, but certainly it's not something I've encountered.

Also, just to add, I use Paizo's DM Screen. It isn't landacape (its portrait), but its very good and right now you can pick it up for $1. Basically, it's all the skills tables, action table, etc. Very useful. I also find the portrait more useful that the landscaoe as I can tack maps against...

The official WotC DM Screen for 3.5 was landscape IIRC. It's not so easy to get hold of now, but you can probably still grab a copy on ebay.

But these aren't 'bugs' - they're features of the game that you don't like. I think they're fine and make the game more enjoyable.
