a can of worms: questions about the hydra.

I guess another way to interpret this would be to apply the exact same rules as you would for a PC with combat reflexes. For example, would you let a PC with a Dex 18 and Combat Reflexes make 5 AoO against a single foe all at once (that is, for provoking just the once)? Or would they get 1 AoO...

Pathfinder 1E Lisa Stevens, CEO of Paizo, commenting about ENWorld

If I had wanted to name them, I would have done. I have no intention of finger pointing in public. Indeed I did, originally. But mostly the moderators didn't appear and when they did, they same argument appeared elsewhere time and again. Reporting posts became pointless, so I stopped. Now...

Pathfinder 1E Lisa Stevens, CEO of Paizo, commenting about ENWorld

You didn't need to fake it, as you weren't doing it. Oddly enough I was primarily the one putting it up there during this time. I remember when heckles were raised when it was felt (rightly or wrongly) that Paizo news was being ignored - something I (and others) tried to make sure was...

Pathfinder 1E Lisa Stevens, CEO of Paizo, commenting about ENWorld

And herein lay part of the problem, IMO. The EN World News Page became so overwhelmed with 4ed news, even of the most trivial matter, that 3ed news was either totally neglected or buried under its weight. Even now, several months after launch, the news page is awash with every piece of tivial...

    Farewell to thee D&D

I must admit, I don't get it either. Just because you don't like 4ed doesn't mean you should quit playing the version you do like. I'll be playing 3.5 for a good while yet, and so will many other people. Just because we're not moving over to a new edition doesn't mean we should all just throw...

    D&D 3.x 4E reminded me how much I like 3E

Sorry, that point was aimed at the 'wand of knock' is a flaw posts. Should have been clearer. Well, I guess we're just talking semantics. The world 'flaw' is loaded, I guess, and something that doesn't work for you, but which works for others, isn't a flaw for them.

    D&D 3.x 4E reminded me how much I like 3E

Er, why would you do any of that? So, just because one character class leaves the game and is replaced by an altogether different one, then you need to change all the rules of your game? I've never seen anyone do that. Anyway, this whole debate of what constitutes a flaw has become rather...

    D&D 3.x 4E reminded me how much I like 3E

I can certainly understand your point of view - and can understand that some people might not like that - but its not really something that has had any bearing on our game in a negative way. Maybe one day that will turn out not to be the case, but certainly it's not something I've encountered.

    Landscape 3.5 DM screen?

Also, just to add, I use Paizo's DM Screen. It isn't landacape (its portrait), but its very good and right now you can pick it up for $1. Basically, it's all the skills tables, action table, etc. Very useful. I also find the portrait more useful that the landscaoe as I can tack maps against...

    Landscape 3.5 DM screen?

The official WotC DM Screen for 3.5 was landscape IIRC. It's not so easy to get hold of now, but you can probably still grab a copy on ebay.

But these aren't 'bugs' - they're features of the game that you don't like. I think they're fine and make the game more enjoyable.

Hmm, I'm sure you were trying to say something, but I just stopped listening. It wasn't worth the effort. Neither are you. What a wonderful thing the ignore list is :)

In your opinion. I'm happy with the changes that were made. It made my gaming experience a better one.

    D&D 3.x 4E reminded me how much I like 3E

I don't think anyone is saying that - and I apologize for calling you arrogant. I'm sure you're a fine DM and player. People are just saying that your experiences aren't mirrored by everyone and there are many who don't see those flaws in the game. As I said, I have issues with some parts of...

What "Official" WotC D&D products do you use?

I use D&D Minis extensively. I used to have lots of Ral Partha/Citadel/etc, but sold them all off and bought a few thousand D&D minis instead. The quality varies greatly, but they've nonetheless had a very positive impact on our gaming experience. I own at least one set of each the Dungeon...

    D&D 3.x 4E reminded me how much I like 3E

The problem with your hpothesis is that you're assuming your experiences are more valid than someone elses. Some people who experience problems assume that it must be the rules. Others who don't experience the same problems assume its the DM/players. The thing is, who is to say who is...

How does submitting a news scoop work?

There are presently no guidelines, though there probably will be in time, when everything has settled down and the more important issues resolved. I dealt with your scoop and it was mostly fine - though a title would have been good :p You might also want to think about adding an image to your...
