    Complete Champion excerpts

Would you perchance be able/willing to provide the full text of the feat?

    Familiar-improving spells

Off the top of my head, I can think of three: Augment Familiar, Enhance Familiar, Fortify Familiar (all of which are listed in the Spell Compendium). Are there any other spells for the combat familiar that I'm missing?

    Help with Grafts!

Sort of like an ongoing heart of <element> spell, then? I suppose that makes a bit more sense. What is a Maug?

    Help with Grafts!

Hmm. What I find interesting is that, of the grafts I've read about, the ones with annoying side effects often don't seem to provide a commensurate benefit in exchange. Do most grafts have these accompanying drawbacks? I'm finding it hard to even picture elemental grafts. :) IIRC, it's a...

    Help with Grafts!

Kind of reminds me of Swamp Thing. Bizarre. This is...also bizarre. Plant grafts, I assume?

    Help with Grafts!

I remember someone mentioning beholder and yuan-ti grafts; were there others? One reason I'm curious is that although the fleshwarper gains Graft Mastery with up to five different graft types over 10 levels, Lords of Madness only describes three: aboleth, illithid, and silthilar. Silthilar...

    Help with Grafts!

After reading the description of the fleshwarper (from Lords of Madness), I have become interested in the concept of grafts. Unfortunately, the main source of information on grafts seems to be the Fiend Folio, which I have recently discovered is out of print (according to the nice guy at my...

Do familiars advance in skills and feats?

Pretty much what I thought. Thanks everyone! (Now, let's see what kind of imaginative uses a monstrous scorpion can come up with for 6 ranks of Concentration, Knowledge (arcana), and Spellcraft! :p )

Do familiars advance in skills and feats?

In the PHB, familiars are noted as having HD equivalent to their masters, for all relevant effects. Later in the same section, under skills, they are described as being able to use either their own skill ranks (as a normal animal of their type) or those of their master for any skill possessed...

    Magical Artisan

I remember the Magical Artisan ancestor feat from 3.0 Oriental Adventures, and I believe Forgotten Realms had/has an analogous feat with the same name. Does this feat still exist in 3.5? Is it still an ancestor or regional feat? Thanks.

    Healers that aren't clerics

No mention of the archivist (Heroes of Horror)? I'm shocked! :) Spontaneous Healer is a useful feat in this regard, too.

    The fastest gnome alive!

You could also consider the Blade Dancer from Oriental Adventures (it didn't change in the 3.5 OA update) for some insane running speed.

    Undead familiars?

The Improved Familiar feat in the DMG lists the homunculus as a possible option for a familiar, although it's suggested for an undead master.

Should Arcane Strike be a swift action?

Best thing I could come up with is a sorcerer/monk combo using Arcane Strike (immediate action) and Ascetic Mage (swift action) at the same time on a high-level flurry of blows, which would eat up spell slots like candy and might boost his attack bonus to an acceptable level. ;) It would be a...

Expeditious Dodge as a prerequisite feat

Hmm. Regardless of whether or not you've moved enough to receive your dodge bonus to AC?

Expeditious Dodge as a prerequisite feat

Hi all-- The description of the Expeditious Dodge feat in Races of the Wild (+2 dodge bonus to AC if you've moved more than 30 ft) states that this feat counts as Dodge for purposes of fulfilling prerequisites. My question is, how does this work with respect to subsequent feats which require...

    Lets Talk Archivist!

Nice one! I've also been wondering if the Collector of Stories skill trick from Complete Scoundrel could be applied to Dark Knowledge checks. Great resources! I'll have to bookmark those.

Quick (dumb) question about feat qualifications

Thanks! I kind of figured it was okay, but... Amusingly, if you look in the PHB, "Class Features" is actually listed last in the level-up benefit order.
