    Books I need?

Out of what you already have, my number one item to purchase next would be: Fiendish Codex I Hordes of the Abyss Made by people that love the subject matter for gamers. For me it is the item from 2007 that was worth every penny I spent. (well..that and Ptolus)

    Happy New Year

Happy New Year! May y'all (I'm from Texas...it is in our dictionary) have a better year in 2008! I rarely stay up this late, so it is quite the achievement for me to even say this, this close to the hour. :)

    When did ghouls become undead?

I have no issue either way except that in either case (Undead or not) they should be supernatural in feel. Personally I like the HPL feel of ghouls more than the D&D version. Admittedly it is just a fluff difference but it would be nice if the new edition coming allowed both versions.

Great Fantasy Cities (and what makes them so awesome)

One of the reasons I like Ptolus is for all the adventure seeds. Everywhere there is something that adds a bit to the setting. The politics is good and the adventure is near. There really is little reason to ever adventure outside the city. (though I love planar adventure) Scuttlecove I...

Great Fantasy Cities (and what makes them so awesome)

Most of the cities I like have already been listed.... Sigil, Ptolus, City State of the Invincible Overlord, Lankhmar, Sanctuary, New Crobuzon, Scuttlecove, Cauldron One additional city I would list is Shelzar, the city of sin. I could picture some Senates from Sigil hanging there. re Ptolus>...

Would you buy FR novels if the game world didn't exist?

I'm going to answer twice...once for myself and once for my wife. For Myself 1)N/A (I don't like it) 2)Dragon magazine if you count Ed's original articles as the teasers of the setting. The first edition of the setting was the best. 3) N/A 4) Yes, but a friend would have had to recommend them...

Brandon Sanderson to write last Wheel of Time book

I'm not going to bother. There are sites out there that give you the cliffnote versions of the books...I am planning on reading those 'cliffnotes' for the books I didn't read....and then read Sanderson's book.

    Does this product exist?

If you don't mind printing them yourself, you could always get a used copy of The Forgotten Realms Atlas Tons (over 800, I think) of maps in CC2 format, so you can edit them and print them. I use them constantly for my home brew games.

DM's what kinds of monster features 'annoy' you or make your job harder?

Any monster with ability drain. I hate keeping track of all the player's and the monsters' ability damage. Regarding minor powers below party level, I think of that stuff as fluff. Those are the abilities that create the adventure. Also, some low level powers are useful...such as Dancing Lights

Breathing New Life into your Monsters

I'd prefer the players to encounter some of the left overs first to warm up the image...say steal from Buffy the Vampire Slayer episode 'Same Time, Same Place' and have a Ghoul that likes to eat just the skin from their victims...slowly in strips.... After all...Ghouls might have a food...

Duergar: I'm shocked - a flavour change I really like!

I'm hoping they make the Derro more touched by the Far Realm. I'd like it if they were portrayed as the dwarves that dug too deep and stayed down too long..... Dwarves that lost touch with everyone else for eons...trapped in their own minds....warp central...
