    Necromancer's City of Brass

And thank you because I had to merge that with standard D&D and having something where the focus was already standard D&D with an Egyptian theme was a plus....thanks! As for the OP, I'm still waiting my copy of City of Brass. I am eagerly looking forward to this product and have been for months.

    D&D 4E D&D 4E Presentation videos

:( I'm not liking the unique serial numbers being needed to unlock content for characters...namely I do not want to buy multiple copies of the same book just so my wife can play with the same options. When I enter that serial it better unlock content per household.

What old setting would you like to see republished?

Planescape can exist in fluff as long as whatever they do in the future doesn't contradict the fluff. The Planescape books are fine. Darksun, Ravenloft, and AlQadim need some rule tweaks to update them, but their fluff is fine too... Greyhawk is a worthy setting to continue, but they might...

D&D 4E Sight unseen - what are your plans for 4E?

I can't really say I'll switch since I never 'switched' from other versions. It is a game. I'll play whatever is fun and the DM (or myself) is willing to run.

What do you steal from published settings?

I recently switched to the Gazetteer of the Known Realms (Dungeon Crawl Classics #35) using the Wilderlands of High Fantasy for some of the city details I highly recommend the combo! Regios, Spell Thematics, and the Order of Hermes from Ars Magica Vampire Clans and Ghoul families from White...

What's been your longest break from playing RPGs?

I've had periods when I haven't been playing but that was due to a lack of a group...since I still read and plot during these times I don't count it as stopping... however when I was in Junior High (about 22 years ago) I quit gaming for 6 months...and I accomplished a lot when I stopped. Since...

Which is more important - smooth/fun game play or realism?

Play or DM? As a player I like fun...as a DM, I prefer reality....I suck as a DM because I toss in too much realism. Admittedly the players keep coming back, but it is probably my soap opera stories...they want to know how it ends and it never does....

    Innovative horror novel recommendations

if you don't mind audio books...I've been enjoying http://pseudopod.org/ basically short story horror....I've heard several RPG authors' stories aired on the site. I find them comforting before and after work on the bus. Horror more comfortable than work...just shows you what smiling all...

    Evil Deities & Their Followers

I've always been a fan of the Egyptian gods and one of the structures I always liked was good people could worship evil gods. Shekhmet brought diseases, but people worshiped her to prevent them. The evil version of Set was worshiped to fight evil. Demons were called to fight Demons. What I...

What's In the Manual of the Planes (1E)?

nah it didn't have subtypes, but that is what it was without the word...raised on the elemental plane of fire and you came back as a human made out of fire. 1st ed book had a bunch of funky spell changes that were interesting to play with

What's In the Manual of the Planes (1E)?

There were a few concepts in there that I liked...such as if you were raised on an elemental plane you gained that subtype.

Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows - POTENTIAL SPOILERS

That is one question I have as well. The only vague reference to it in the Deathly Hallows is when they were discussing the Hallows with Luna's father and he mentioned the 'curtain'...and that was it...a mere mention and not even in reference to the particular curtain in the dept of mysteries...

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix SPOILERS!!!

I'm currently rereading the book and one of the things that always annoyed me about this book was Harry being trained by Snape. The last time Harry had trouble with a spell (the summoning charm in GoF) Hermione recommended the library and studying the theroy of the spell....I just don't get...

    Archivist/Alienist

I must be the only person that views the loss as not a loss. I view from the alienist description that the pseudonatural is just swapped to the fiendish and celestial creatures. The reason the howler can't have the pseudonatural template added is because it would kick it up to the next monster...

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix SPOILERS!!!

Since JKR said that we'll find out more about ghosts in the next book, I'm betting that Regulus does make an appearance.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince point of discussion (Spoilers)

I have this horrible mental picture of the New Voldemort making some horcruxs and some day way down the line.... the seventh horcrux of the seventh horcrux of Lord Voldemort shall arise and defeat the seventh son of the seventh son of Harry Potter. (after all Harry is supposed to have 12 kids...
