Talk to your DM, you can have side quests/adventures to get you that needed experience. It is expected that the DM will run side adventures in APs when the characters are not up to snuff.

This is wonderful news. I knew I wouldn't be making the conversion to 4e instantly and now I have a reason to wait even longer. I love what paizo has done and I think it is great that the monster/unique entities that are converted here will be useful for a couple more years.
