D&D 5E (2024) When are we getting announcements for 2026 books?

It's named in the list of D&D settings in the 2024 DMG. Every setting on that list has a campaign book in 5e except Dark Sun.

D&D 5E (2024) When are we getting announcements for 2026 books?

The only one I've ever considered using was Ghosts of Saltmarsh, and even then I'd probably alter it so the boat in Sinister Secret is in play more in the later adventures.

D&D 5E (2024) How excited are you for the 2 upcoming Forgotten Realms books?

To be honest, I'm finding myself most excited for the vampire dlc at the moment...

    Homebrew The Soul Cleaver Class

It's been a minute since we saw a homebrew 4e class!

D&D 5E (2024) When are we getting announcements for 2026 books?

I took it that the core 3 were an "all hands on deck" scenario and the downtime between the MM (which was going to be a 2024 book) and Dragon Delves was mostly for retooling the team to pick up new projects. Moving the August book to December stings, and it makes 2025 bottom heavy. That said, I...

D&D 5E (2024) When are we getting announcements for 2026 books?

I would much prefer a new expansion or a second module (I got real excited when someone suggested a possible Mordenheim based adventure). CoS already got two glow ups (one from B&G, one from WotC itself) so do something new.

    D&D General D&D: Literally Don't Understand This

Maybe the problem is that magic is being used to replace technology. I have a better idea. Hear me out...

It wouldn't be Mystara, that's for sure. Not with stuff like this.

    D&D General D&D: Literally Don't Understand This

This is basically the whole "adventurer wheelchair" scenario, just with a different medical device. People act like people with disabilities laid in bed dying until the 20th century...

    D&D General D&D: Literally Don't Understand This

Absolutely. Those and gnomish necromancers were the death knell of D&D. I wonder how many of those people ended up playing 3e and onwards?

    D&D General D&D: Literally Don't Understand This

The apparatus of Kwalish is a giant submersible crab robot powered by magic. One of the old TSR modules (I forget which) had a room that was magically kept cold where food was stored (a walk in freezer). Sending stones are walkie-talkies. D&D had all manner of anachronistic magical technology...

So high heels in D&D is an invention of the drow. Makes sense since that were both matriarchal and a masochistic society.

    D&D General D&D: Literally Don't Understand This

Let me share with you an actual picture from an actual D&D book What is this a picture of? It looks positively Victorian. He's not even remotely looking like a character whose contemporaries to a knight and a wizard. He looks like a solicitor who got locked in a vampire's castle! Yet this is...

    D&D General D&D: Literally Don't Understand This

The reverse is often true as well. Think about how many technologic futuristic fantasy games (like Final Fantasy 7 for instance) have characters with advanced firearms next to dudes with swords and spears. No modern warrior would go into combat today with a greatsword, but Cloud with buster...

D&D General Any movement/update on Creative Commons SRD for previous editions?

True, but it provides a framework to start from as opposed to starting from scratch. The real reason though is that I don't imagine WotC is overly quick to re-expose the "warts" of AD&D again. They can release 3e "as is" for the most part, and 4e could just be given necessary adjoining info to...

    D&D General D&D: Literally Don't Understand This

Eberron especially is far more modernistic in it's influence (the pulp and noir stories of the early 20th century). Likewise, Ravenloft has always felt far more Victorian than Medieval (mostly due to the source material). I would say the only settings in really think feel medieval are...
